Quotes from AFTA Chair Tom Manwaring
“AFTA’s Board and members are very grateful for the ongoing engagement of key political decision makers and influencers from Federal Tourism Minister Dan Tehan and Federal Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese through to local MPs and Senators.”
“We have so many compelling stories of the human cost and strain of the travel sector being in lockdown since March 2020 as well as the tremendous support our members are providing to consumers. It’s pretty hard not to be swayed when you hear them.”
“We need more Australians vaccinated so we reach that all-important 80% threshold as soon as possible. We need State and Territory Governments to stick to Roadmap to Reopening as agreed by National Cabinet. We need ongoing financial support until we are travelling again internationally so that our members can keep doing what they do so well which is supporting Australians through all aspects of travel.”
