The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) today reminded passengers that, despite updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), face masks are still required inside all airport facilities. A federal mandate from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) remains in effect requiring all air, rail and bus travelers over the age of 2 to properly wear a mask, over the nose and mouth, at all times in these locations.

Face masks are still required for all individuals, including workers and members of the public, when entering or when located in the indoor areas of SFO, as well as parking garages and observation decks. There are no exceptions based on vaccination status. Failure to comply may result in a fine and removal from the facility.
