According to Lonely Planet writer James Gabriel Martin, the Maldives may have the perfect working from home opportunity for me.

So, I was off to the garage to get my suitcases so read on to find out more!

A house on a beach

And how good does it sound? More freedom of movement, enjoying the chance to make a change of scenery while also getting work done, with this luxury resort in the Maldives Nautilus Beach and Ocean Houses going even further, providing an idyllic setting and allowing you to work from a sandbank in the sun.

Ahhh, whoo saah…perfect!

A wooden pier next to a body of water

Description automatically generatedImagine that secluded sandbank with a personal desk, a shaded sun canopy and portable high speed Wi-Fi, as well as taking part in holistic programmes and watching movies outdoors, with a beach house office setup including everything you need, including a computer, a wireless printer, a phone, full stationery and a desk with ocean views…and there’s even a dedicated personal assistant and daily yoga sessions for break time.

As if that was not enough, James tells us that when the work day is finished, I or even you can take part in snorkelling tours, as well as sample wine and spot dolphins from onboard a private luxury yacht, oh and continuous refreshments are on hand throughout the day, and Wi-Fi stretches across the island.

The Nautilus Maldives

If you become so engrossed in your work [LOL!] you can even opt to have your meals delivered and served at the beach house for no extra cost.

Nautilus Beach and Ocean Houses are even located at the Baa Atoll Unesco biosphere reserve, surrounded by clear waters and impressive views, with rooms looking out over the ocean.

With the Maldives currently open to travellers with a negative COVID-19 test, allowing for select tourism to recommence, more information on the package is available at the Nautilus Beach and Ocean Houses website, but here is the catch!

Prices start at $23,260 for seven nights in a beach hut set up for work, but excluding flights!

Ah well maybe another time btu for certainly this will appeal to many.

Thank you James.
