Oakwood®, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mapletree Investments (“Mapletree”), today announced a new safety measure that requires all guests, associates and vendors to wear face masks in all indoor public areas.

More than 80 Oakwood properties globally will enforce this heightened safety precaution with immediate effect, signaling the serviced apartment industry’s first move to safeguard public health. This new initiative follows the launch of Oakwood Clean360, a global program that details the brand’s commitment to meeting the health and safety challenges of COVID-19. As part of the enhanced Oakwood Clean360 program, all Oakwood associates are equipped with face masks to assist guests who do not have one.

“Oakwood is relentless in our quest to protect the health and safety of our guests, associates and vendors. In response to evolving public health measures to manage the pandemic, Oakwood continues to reimagine the hospitality experience and redefine our cleaning and safety standards for today’s world. We recognize the need to introduce enhanced precautions to provide our guests with a safe sanctuary to call home. No effort will be spared to provide peace of mind for our stakeholders,” said Dean Schreiber, Chief Executive Officer of Oakwood.

A robust hygiene program which ensures the safety of our guests and associates alike, Oakwood Clean360 is built on three key pillars:

·       Continuous enhancement of operational standards

·       Providing our guests with a safe sanctuary to call home

·       The welfare of our associates
