Insight Vacations, has today launched its new and exciting ‘Local Escapes’ collection, a selection of five carefully curated itineraries across Australia and New Zealand – offering guests everything they know and love about Insight, now closer to home.
Clients who are ready to start travelling domestic and trans-Tasman can now book these close to home itineraries with Insight Vacations, visiting South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia, and the North and South Islands of New Zealand. Guests can expect access to many exclusive experiences that the general public would not be able to experience as an independent traveller, such as behind-the-scenes discoveries, giving back to local communities, VIP winery tours and unique local dining experiences.
Being the first-time launching product in Australia and New Zealand, Insight Vacations has worked closely alongside sister company, Inspiring Journeys, the trusted experts in the regions, to develop each itinerary and experience.

Each itinerary will provide guests with an opportunity, not only to stimulate local economies, but to participate in a ‘Make Travel Matter’ experience. The activity on each itinerary varies from visiting places that were devastated by the recent bushfires, visiting fire affected koalas, understanding the importance of indigenous culture at Cape Naturaliste in WA and contributing to reforestation efforts.
Insight Vacations has recently reviewed its health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all guests. Coaches will seat a maximum of 22 passengers to ensure safe physical distancing along with enhanced hygiene measures on and off the coach, which will be managed seamlessly by Travel Directors.

Perth and The Margaret River Explorer – Experience the iconic sights of Perth and the South Coast of WA on this six-day journey. Guests will enjoy taking in the surroundings of Perth, hear personal stories from Indigenous locals at Cape Naturaliste, sample fantastic food and sip on world-renowned wines from Sandalford, Leeuwin Estate and Voyager Estate.
Taste of New Zealand’s North Island – The longest itinerary of the collection at eight-days showcases the best of the North Island.
