Elena Nazarovici has been appointed as Director of Sales at The Sanchaya. In her new role, Elena will bring 15 years of global experience in the hospitality industry to the leading estate, which offers world-class service and experiences less than an hour from Singapore.
An energetic, positive leader with invaluable skills in Sales and Hospitality Management, Elena joins The Sanchaya from The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Maldives, where she spent two and a half years, having joined the team as Sales Manager and quickly worked her way up to Director of Sales & Marketing. During her time in the Maldives, Elena worked tirelessly to increase awareness of the luxury property amongst new and existing markets through dedicated road shows, marketing campaigns and trainings. Elena consistently monitored emerging travel trends to identify and implement new strategies in order to maintain intrigue in the property, including overseeing the resort’s social media activity and hosting celebrities and influencers.
Originally from Romania, Elena always had a keen interest in a career in the hospitality industry, and her first role took her to Sharm el Sheikh, where she spent over seven years learning about the industry at Domina Coral Bay Hotel, Resort, Spa and Casino, growing from Guest Relations Officer to Reservation Supervisor at the resort, which consists of 7 different hotels and is one of the largest in the Middle East.
Later, Elena’s career took her to Qatar, where she joined the InterContinental Doha the City Hotel in Doha. Here, Elena once again climbed through the ranks from Assistant Sales Manager to Senior Sales Manager. In this role, she oversaw the hotel’s sales plans, mentoring junior members of the team, developing business relationships with various Embassies, and attending international tourism fairs to promote the property and Qatar itself as a wider tourist destination.
Elena is fluent in English and Italian, and is also able to speak Egyptian Arabic. In her free time, she enjoys keeping fit and healthy through team sports, as well as exploring new destinations and sampling new cuisines and recipes.
