Indulge in any of the auspicious set meals at two Michelin-starred Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro, or feast to your heart’s content on Triple Three’s Lunar New Year offerings. Those preferring the comfort of celebrating in their home can also opt to take away signature delicacies.

Festivities begin with a traditional lion and dragon dance performance on the first day of the Lunar New Year (25 January) at the hotel’s main driveway, as well as at the main lobby on Level 5.

SHISEN HANTEN BY CHEN KENTARO

An epicurean indulgence awaits at Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro, where guests can choose from seven auspiciously-themed set menus—from the eight-course Prosperity menu at $538++ for four persons, to the Majestic menu that features Whole Roasted Suckling Pig among its nine courses, at $2,988++ for 10 persons.

Making a debut on the menu this year is the Roasted Brown Rice-fed Chicken topped with Garlic, Mala-glazed Barbecued Pork, and Braised “Rat Noodle” with Lobster in Superior Broth.

The Roasted Brown Rice-fed Chicken topped with Garlic features a new breed of chicken which is 100% organically fed with specially selected brown rice grain, hence yielding meat that is tender and juicy with a rich flavour profile.

Adding a twist to the classic barbecued pork, the restaurant presents its own rendition—Mala-glazed Barbecued Pork. Succulent strips of pork are roasted with a decadent glaze made from Szechwan peppercorn, giving the dish an extra fiery kick.

In celebration of the Year of the Rat, the culinary team specially created a dish using “Rat Noodle”, which is also commonly known as Bee Tai Mak, or Silver Needle Noodle. Using a superior broth that was simmered for five to six hours, the noodles and fresh lobster are then braised together, creating a dish that delivers on flavour with every mouthful.
