Pacific World, one of the world’s leading global destination and event management companies, has been awarded “Best Organized Incentive Program that Promoted Malaysia” in the inaugural Malaysia Business Events Awards 2019 (MBEA).Organized by the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers (MACEOS), MBEA recognizes the top accomplishments in the Business Events industry by honoring excellence in events and professional services. More than 300 people participated in Pacific World Malaysia’s “KL Photo Hunt,” an exciting, team-based cultural scavenger hunt through Kuala Lumpur that raised funds for local charities.
Teams received scores based on completion of various tasks during the photo hunt, and those scores were converted into donations to the community. This model served to motivate participants as they endeavored to complete as many tasks as possible to increase donations to the community. USD10,000 was raised through the event and donated to a local organization.
“Pacific World is committed to creating immersive activities that not only highlight the destinations, but also engage participants in supporting local communities,” said Catherine Chong, Country Manager, Pacific World Malaysia. “The KL Photo Hunt brought hundreds of participants together to explore the city, learn about its multi-cultural heritage, and support local charities.”
The KL Photo Hunt teambuilding and fundraising event was celebrated in Kuala Lumpur with participants from Japan, Latin America, China, Europe, Middle East, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Teams followed a series of clues that led them through the city where they visited iconic buildings and heritage sites and completed a series of interactive tasks that highlighted the city’s melting pot of Malay, Chinese and Indian cultures. Participants played Capteh, a local Malay game, made Tea Tarik, and sampled local flavors as they made their way through the city.
The KL Photo Hunt is an excellent example of Pacific World’s commitment with the sustainable development of the destinations, in line with #bringchangewithME program, Pacific World’s ground-up commitment to address local and global social, economic and environmental problems with hands-on, meaningful activities at key destinations.
