Mohawk Blend

This Silver Lake staple keeps it classic with vegan cheese, vegan pepperoni, and their signature Angry Vegan (for lovers of spice!). Cooking for a cause, the restaurant created the ‘Piece of the Pie’ Program, which sees Mohawk Blend staff create a monthly pizza special in collaboration with a local charity. Each sale of the uniquely crafted pizza leads to a $4 donation to said charity. www.mohawk.la/

Donut Friend

A must-stop for every vegan visitor to LA, Donut Friends in Downtown L.A. and Highland Park offers vegan donuts named after rock bands. Try the popular Hüsker Blü, S’morrissey or Banana Kill – or DIY by selecting the toppings and fillings of your choice. Feel good not guilty about indulging, as half of the monthly sales of the ‘Compassion Fruit Donut’ are donated to a different cause or charity. https://donutfriend.com/wp3/

Dodger Stadium

Not quite a sit-down restaurant, nonetheless, Los Angeles’ very own Dodger Stadium ensures all sports fans have something to munch on during the game!  Recently finishing 7th in PETA’s 2019 ranking of the Top 10 Vegan-Friendly Ballparks for its diverse menu, the venue’s longtime offering of a veggie Dodger Dog was replaced in the 2019 season by the Beyond Bratwurst. The newly-introduced lineup also features a Beyond Burger, tempeh nachos with vegan cheese, and a Tempeh Basebowl with rice, black beans and pico de gallo. Locali Hollywood

Delicious brunch happens every day at Locali locations in Downtown L.A., Hollywood, and Venice. With a menu that is plant forward by default, meaning all menu items will be made automatically vegan unless instructed otherwise, guests can enjoy a popular breakfast sandwich or opt for a dragon fruit chia bowl. www.localiyours.com/.

Bodhi Bowl

Specialising in grain bowls, salads, sandwiches, and soups, everything Bodhi Bowl creates is not only 100% vegan, but also naturally cholesterol free. With a focus on animal-friendly practices, the Downtown L.A. food spot donates 10% of all sales to an animal charity of their choice. Hot tip: diners are more than welcome to bring their canine friends, with a secret menu item being a USD$2 quinoa and sweet potato puppy bowl. www.bodhibowlla.com/
