In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Trafalgar’s signature Be My Guest dining experiences across the globe, Trafalgar has partnered with Australian celebrity Chef Adam Swanson (Adam’s Pasta Pilgrimage, Good Chef Bad Chef, Houses Australia and Ready Steady Cook) to create a bespoke trip of his favourite foodie destinations in Italy, sure to be a food and wine aficionados paradise. Trafalgar’s Italy’s Finest trip will take guests to the birthplace of Be My Guest,on a journey through Italy’s most mouth-watering destinations from Rome to Siena, Bologna and Venice (with plenty more places to savour along the way), as they delve deep into  this authentic culinary adventure.

This is a trip bursting with flavour, travelling through rolling countryside, vineyards and olive groves combined with Italy’s most iconic sights. Chef Adam Swanson will be hosting guests on this nine-day journey through the markets of Florence and Rialto, cheese and cured meat producers galore in Bologna, to savour the fresh seafood in Burano and to sample the synonymous sweets of Siena. Not to mention tastings at the various vineyards producing Italy’s renowned Sangiovese, Chianti’s and Prosecco along the way.

Guests will dive into culture as they experience an insight into Tuscan daily life with a visit to a local fresh produce market followed by an Italian cooking experience. They’ll master the art of authentic pizza making with a pizzolo in Rome, then enjoy the fruits of their labour with wine in hand. Guests will be treated to a Be My Guestdinner with Count Miari Fulcis on his 15th-century organic olive oil estate in the Tuscan hills, used as a location for many famous films like ‘Room with a view’ and ‘Tea with Mussolini.’ And stay somewhere with a story in a marvellous 19th century Villa style hotel in the Tuscan Hills

Chef Adam Swanson says “We had the best time on my family holiday with Trafalgar through Italy, which inspired me to showcase the incredible cuisine, amazing artisans and charismatic locals to guests and take them back to some of my favourite places. I can’t wait to share my passion for food, wine and the secret spots only the locals know about, so guests can see simply the best Italy, every step of the way.”

Guests will also take in the breath-taking sights, experiencing all the rich history and culture Italy has to offer – including a guided visit to the Vatican with a Local Specialist, to see the magnificent Gothic Duomo and famous Baptistery as well as visiting the Academy of Fine Arts. They’ll go to the medieval town of San Gimignano for a taste of life during the Middle Ages and discover the Venetian Lagoon by private boat. All of these experiences are combined with the Trafalgar treatment including all transport, accommodation, plenty of food and an expert Travel Director so guests needn’t worry about a thing.

This exploration of Italy’s finest food, culture and belissimo landscapes paired with Adam’s expertise, passion and knowledge of the land guiding the way offers the chance to go where the locals go and dine as the locals dine – all while creating travel memories that will last far longer than the delicious food guests will find on their plate at every turn.
