South African Airways (SAA) has been advised that state owned airline, SA Express (SAX) will resume operations effective Thursday 23 August 2018after being grounded in May 2018.

South African Airways, along with another award winning carrier Mango, have been assisting SAX customers during the period of suspension.

The resumption of the SAX service follows the recent reinstatement of both the airline’s Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO) licenses by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA).

All operational requirements have been addressed with the regulator.  The reinstatement means that SAX have satisfied any concerns that the regulator had leading to the temporary grounding.

SAX is a state owned company (SOC) and is a separate entity to SAA.

With the resumption of their airline services SA Express passengers will be able to book flights on www.flyexpress.aero
