several silver and gold trophies on wooden surfaceThe Shoalhaven Visitor Information Centre has been named a finalist in this year’s NSW Tourism Awards, in the Visitor Information Services category.
It’s the second time in a row that the visitor centre has been a finalist in the awards, having won silver in the same category at the 2019 NSW Tourism Awards.
The NSW Tourism Awards are run by the state’s peak tourism organisation, NSW Tourism Industry Council. The 2021 awards celebrate the outstanding innovation and resilience demonstrated by the state’s tourism industry over the past two years.
Shoalhaven Tourism Manager Coralie Bell said, “We’re delighted that our Visitor Services Team has once again been recognised for their excellence.
“Our passionate team have been at the forefront of customer service in our region through difficult times such as Bushfires, floods and COVID-19, they are more than worthy of celebrating!”
“Shoalhaven City Council’s Visitor Services Team offer more than just services from our Nowra and Ulladulla Centres: they have recently introduced live chat; have mobile information services; volunteer ambassadors; fantastic local produce for sale; and even new solar panels in the Nowra centre to meet sustainability goals.
The NSW Tourism Award Winners will be announced on 3 February 2022.
