Australian and New Zealand favourites, the award-winning Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and Castaway Island, Fiji, are pleased to announce that they have achieved accreditation with the Care Fiji Commitment, a Fiji Government initiative providing the highest standards of safety, health protocols and measures so that Fiji can safely welcome back international visitors in a post Covid world.

By resorts committing to the program, businesses must follow current COVID-19 advice issued by Ministry of Health and Medical Services, and also manage risks to staff, guests and other people in accordance with Health and Safety at Work laws, said Australian area director of sales and marketing Ben Johnson.

“Another benefit is that the Care Fiji Commitment Program has been endorsed by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the global authority on Travel and Tourism. This means that both Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and Castaway Island, Fiji will immediately get access to use the globally recognised WTTC Safe Travels stamp, in addition to the Care Fiji Commitment branding.

The stamp represents to travellers, workers and other stakeholders in the industry that there is a consistent global approach to health and safety best practices, and most importantly that when our guests are ready to return, we will be ready to welcome them home” said Johnson.

This important certification is complemented by Outrigger Hospitality Groups own Outrigger Clean Commitment creating peace of mind for our welcomed guests in Fiji and the brands worldwide properties.
