Vouchers for a half or full-day guided hike in Victoria from gourmet hiking specialist, Hedonistic Hiking, are the ideal gift for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, birthdays and other special celebrations! The half and full-day guided hikes are part of Hedonistic Hiking’s new 2021 Australia programme which also includes one-week tours in the Grampians National Park.

Struggling to think of a Christmas gift? Given this year’s restrictions, the sheer joy of being outdoors may tick every box. Choose from a selection of Hedonistic Hiking half and full day guided hikes, with add-ons that include bubbles, brunch, gourmet picnics and sunset dinners. Prices start at AUS$220 for a guided hike for two with a mountain brunch. Sample hikes:

Mount Buffalo and Brunch: Enjoy amazing views and unique plant life in one of the country’s oldest national parks on a gentle but spectacular guided hike in Mount Buffalo National Park. Suitable for all levels of walking, the half-day tour includes a delicious mountain-top brunch. Price for 2 people: AUS$220, including transport from Bright.

Sunset dinner on Mount Buffalo: Surprise the special person in your life this Valentine’s Day with the gift of a memorable guided hike on Mount Buffalo, followed by a sunset dinner. Hike on well-maintained trails, reaching the mountain’s highest point, The Horn, as the sun sets. Canapés with a view are followed by a trademark Hedonistic Hiking 3-course feast made from the best locally-sourced fresh produce, matched with superb local wines. Price for 2 people: AUS$390, including transport to and from Bright.

The Bucket List option: Perfect for challenge-seekers, Hedonistic Hiking’s bucket list Razorback – Hotham to Harrietville hike is a full day guided walk which follows the Razorback Ridge to Federation Hut, the ideal spot for a classic Hedonistic Hiking picnic. The afternoon descent to Harrietville is rewarded with a celebratory cold beer or bubbles in the late afternoon. Price for 2 people: AUD$390, including transport at the start and end of the day.

Be one of the first to sample the last leg of the 160km Grampians Peaks Trail, due for completion in autumn 2021. Hedonistic Hiking’s two new itineraries in the Grampians Peaks both end with a hike on the Trail’s final new section and a memorable dinner at the highly-acclaimed Wickens at Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkeld.

A private tour of the UNESCO World Heritage site Budj Bim, with an indigenous guide, and a bushtucker lunch prepared by the Budj Bim rangers is one of the highlights of the gentler South West Coast and the Grampians itinerary (level 3). The more challenging Highlights of the Grampians Peaks Trail (level 5) itinerary includes hikes on some of the National Park’s finest trails, including the historic Wonderland Trail to The Pinnacle lookout, and allows guests to experience Aboriginal cultural heritage, spectacular views and wildlife.

Price: The tours cost AUD$3495 per person, based on 2 sharing, inclusive of 6 nights’ accommodation, all activities, and gourmet picnic lunches and gastronomic dinners with wine.

Established in 2007 by Jackie and Mick Parsons, Hedonistic Hiking organises guided hiking tours, accompanied by gourmet food and wine experiences, in Australia and Italy. Tours are researched, designed and led by Jackie and Mick and graded 1-5 according to difficulty.
