Leading aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service, has unveiled the next step in its expansion plan in the Australasia region by appointing the highly experienced Melissa Rogers and Matthew Haigh. The pair will be based in Brisbane, as Rogers fulfils the role of Director, and Haigh as Assistant Director, of private and commercial jet charter sales.

Air Charter Service Australia recently celebrated its fifth anniversary in February. Managing Director of ACS Australia, Paul Crook, commented: “ACS is still seeing growth in all three of its divisions, but cargo especially, as we continue to step in to help fill the gap caused by the reduction in scheduled services. The appointment of Melissa & Matthew in Brisbane marks yet another significant milestone for our region and investment in ACS’s Australian team.”

Melissa Rogers joins ACS from a vast background in aviation, spanning commercial airline operations, passenger services management and bespoke charter solutions. Melissa has managed the charter portfolios for multiple sporting organisations, production companies, government agencies and TMCs. Rogers adds: “I am excited to be joining ACS at such a pivotal time in the industry. With market demand strong in the currently complex operating environment, I’m proud to be a part of the ACS expansion in Australasia and am committed to delivering a best-in-class experience for our entire customer portfolio.”

Matthew Haigh joins ACS with 14 years of aviation experience including flight training, airline operations and charter logistics. He brings in-depth knowledge of the air charter landscape in the region and strong aircraft operator contacts. In Haigh’s previous position he was instrumental in the setup and management of a government charter program, as well as large FIFO contracts, to some of the most remote locations in Australia. Haigh comments: “ACS is a truly well-established, global organisation and I am looking forward to playing a key role in the company’s ongoing expansion plans”.

Paul Crook concludes: We are fortunate enough to have experienced a successful year last year, with our revenue doubling in the Australasia region. With vaccination campaigns now under way in various countries and global travel restrictions likely easing soon, we are feeling positive about the future of the Australian charter market. We are excited about the prospect of boosting ACS’s presence in the Australian market and see Melissa and Matthew’s appointment to be the next step in this continued expansion.”
