New research reveals the best cities around the world for beer lovers.

The research from money.co.uk compiled a list of 40 destinations known for their local beer scene and gave each a score out of 10 based on three metrics:

Breweries per 10,000 people
Bars, pubs and clubs per 10,000 people
Average price per pint

Taking the crown for the best destination in the world for beer lovers is Asheville in the United States, with an overall score of 8.41 out of 10. With the highest concentration of bars, pubs and clubs in our ranking, with 7.86 establishments existing per 10,000 people in the city.

Coming in second place is Prague in the Czech Republic with an overall score of 6.88 out of 10. With the second cheapest cost of a pint on the list at only £1.34 and the second most bars and clubs per 10,000 people at 5.86 out of 10.

In third place is Krakow, Poland with an overall score of 4.79 out of 10. With the cost of a pint at £1.89 and 2.46 pubs and bars per 10,000 people.
