Banyan Tree Group’s Laguna Golf celebrated its triple win of international award recognitions. The Group’s 18-hole oceanfront course – Laguna Golf Bintan and its flagship hotel – Banyan Tree Phuket were named Indonesia’s Best Golf Course 2020 and Thailand’s Best Golf Hotel 2020 respectively by World Golf Awards, while Banyan Tree Lăng Cô won Best Luxury Golf Resort in Asia by World Luxury Awards 2020.
World Golf Awards and World Luxury Awards recognise excellence in tourism, world-class golf courses and destinations through respective annual awards programme. Votes were cast by travel and golf professionals and guests in a year-long search to honour organisations that are leaders in their fields, despite official awards ceremonies could not take place due to the international travel restrictions this year.
Paul Wilson, Senior Assistant Vice President of Group Golf and Destination Sales & Marketing of Laguna Phuket, said: “Banyan Tree Group is proud to be recognised as a global leader in the hospitality and golf industry. The three prestigious awards exemplify our brands – Laguna Golf and Banyan Tree Group – and spur us to continually raise the bar in service excellence and exceptional experiences. Laguna Golf Bintan has established itself in offering unparalled golfing experiences while the flagship Banyan Tree Phuket, together with Laguna Golf Phuket, makes a perfect golf destination. Banyan Tree Lăng Cô shines as the Best Luxury Golf Resort in Asia. I thank World Golf Awards and World Luxury Awards for their continual support and commitment to uplift golf tourism even during this unprecedented year of challenges.”
