Thailand’s luxury treehouse resort is expanding, with 15 new private pool villas set to bring more comfort, calm, and a touch of indulgence to the jungle.
TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao plans to add 15 Jungle Retreat Villas in December 2026. The move gives Thailand’s Phang Nga Bay another way to lure guests away from busy beaches and packed hotel lobbies.
The adults-only resort sits on Koh Yao Noi, an island you can reach by boat from Phuket or Krabi. The new villas will bring guests close to the trees. But no one will have to rough it.
Each retreat will face Phang Nga Bay, with sea views through the trees. Guests will have a five-by-two-metre plunge pool, an open-air deck and a broad balcony with a hammock. The villa also includes a nook for yoga and sound healing. The villas sleep two guests aged 16 or over.
The hammock may face more competition than the pool.
This is more than a plan to add beds. The new Jungle Lounge will have its own front desk, a grill-style dining spot, and a tiered pool. It gives guests somewhere to meet, eat and take a break from the hard work of doing very little.
Wellness is still a big part of the stay. Guests can try yoga, tai chi, sound healing, ice plunges and spa treatments at Aruna Aura Spa and Wellness. The resort lists the spa and nature-based activities among its existing offers.
One small catch to all this bliss: you need a boat. Koh Yao Noi has no road link to the mainland. The resort says the trip takes about 50 minutes from Phuket’s Yacht Haven Marina or 30 minutes from Tha Len Pier in Krabi. Boat times may change with the weather, so guests should plan ahead.
The news came in a resort update shared by the Pacific Asia Travel Association on 15 October. The release gives no room rates or set opening day beyond December 2026.
The draw is plain enough. Guests get the sounds of the jungle, a view of the bay and their own pool. Not a bad way to leave the daily grind behind.
