The appointment of Robert Pattenden as General Manager is certainly a significant development, and his background in luxury hospitality is quite impressive. I’ve had the chance to experience some of the best coastal destinations in my travels, and I think it’s interesting to consider how his expertise could shape the guest experience in a city like Singapore. From my own travels, I’ve noticed that even small touches, like a well-designed rooftop pool or a carefully curated selection of local artwork, can make a big difference in how guests perceive a property. I’ve often found myself willing to pay a bit more for a room with a great view, especially if it’s a sunny one – which, let’s be honest, is not always a given in some of the destinations I’ve been to. I wonder how Robert Pattenden’s vision will take shape in this new role, and what kind of unique experiences he might bring to the table.
