Mercure, the globally renowned hotel brand where local is shared with care, has opened Mercure Perth Aurea Kings Park, marking the third Mercure property in Western Australia. Part of Accor, a world-leading hospitality company and Australia’s largest hospitality group, the new hotel further strengthens the brand’s presence in the market while advancing Accor’s continued growth across the state.

Mercure Perth Aurea Kings Park offers contemporary accommodation designed for both business and leisure travellers, featuring 70 modern guest rooms and a spacious suite, with select rooms boasting private balconies overlooking the Perth skyline, John Oldham Park and the iconic Swan River just a short stroll away. Guests can also enjoy the hotel’s restaurant and bar, providing a welcoming space to dine, unwind and experience the best of Perth’s urban and natural landscapes.

The new hotel marks Accor’s second partnership with Capital Bay Management, following the successful operation of The Sebel West Perth, and reflects a continued commitment to delivering high-quality accommodation experiences across the western seaboard of Australia.

Adrian Williams, Chief Operating Officer, Accor Pacific, said: “The opening of Mercure Perth Aurea Kings Park is a strong addition to our network in Western Australia. As the third Mercure hotel in Perth, it reflects the growing appeal of the brand and our commitment to providing quality accommodation that connects guests with the unique character of each destination.”

Located adjacent to Kings Park, one of the world’s largest inner-city parks, and within two kilometres of Perth’s CBD and Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Mercure Perth Aurea Kings Park places guests within easy reach of the city while offering direct access to one of its most celebrated natural landmarks.

Peow Lim, General Manager at Capital Bay Management, added: “Joining the Accor family through the Mercure brand marks an important milestone for Capital Bay Management. With its prime position between Kings Park and the Swan River, the hotel offers guests a unique sense of space and connectivity to the Perth CBD. Partnering with Accor allows us to introduce the property to a broader audience of leisure and corporate travellers, while building on the strong foundation already established with The Sebel West Perth. We look forward to welcoming guests to Mercure Perth Aurea Kings Park from September 2026.”

Rooted in its “glocal” approach to hospitality, Mercure invites guests not just to stay, but to belong. Since 1973, the brand has been dedicated to creating locally inspired experiences shaped by their surroundings, inspired by local stories, crafted by many hands, and shared with care. With more than 1,000 hotels worldwide, Mercure combines global reach with strong local identity, encouraging travellers to experience destinations deeply, responsibly, and meaningfully.
