LAS VEGAS has never been especially shy about making an entrance, and this week it has found another way to turn the volume up while turning selected prices down.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has launched its “Vegas 5-Day Sale”, putting more than 180 hotel, entertainment, dining, attraction and wedding offers into the market for a tightly limited booking window. The citywide promotion officially runs from Tuesday, 22 September until Saturday, 26 September 2026, with selected resort discounts reaching as high as 60 per cent.

For Australian travellers and, just as importantly, the travel advisors trying to turn a “maybe Vegas” into a confirmed booking, the timing creates a short, sharp sales opportunity.

The official campaign closes at 11.59 pm Pacific Daylight Time on 26 September, which is 4.59 pm AEST on Sunday, 27 September. Individual suppliers may set different booking deadlines, travel dates, blackout periods and conditions, so the headline saving is the invitation, not the fine print.

Vegas goes big on value

LVCVA Chief Marketing Officer Kate Wik summed up the destination’s pitch neatly:

“Vegas is where travelers come to trade the expected for the unforgettable.”

That is familiar Las Vegas language, but the breadth of this promotion gives the slogan some commercial muscle.

The sale reaches well beyond discounted beds. It stretches across the Strip, downtown and other resort areas, bundling room-rate cuts with food-and-beverage credits, show discounts, attraction deals and experience offers.

In other words, this is not merely a hotel sale wearing sequins. It is an attempt to make the whole holiday look better value.

At the upper end of the headline discounts, Caesars Entertainment is promoting savings of up to 60 per cent at selected properties including Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas, Horseshoe Las Vegas and The LINQ Hotel + Experience, with a US$50 food-and-beverage credit attached to those offers.

Planet Hollywood is listed with savings of up to 55 per cent, while Caesars Palace and Paris Las Vegas have selected offers of up to 30 per cent with daily breakfast included.

MGM Resorts International is also prominent. The LVCVA promotion lists 50 per cent off selected room rates at properties including MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, W Las Vegas, Park MGM, New York-New York, Luxor and Excalibur.

At ARIA, Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan and Vdara, the advertised offer is 25 per cent off room rates plus a US$100 daily food-and-beverage credit.

For travellers looking higher up the luxury ladder, Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Las Vegas are offering up to 30 per cent off resort rooms, or up to 20 per cent off tower suites, with a complimentary Buffet at Wynn pass for two included in the listed promotion.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is advertising up to 20 per cent off room rates, a US$50 daily resort credit and free parking.

The Venetian Resort and The Palazzo are offering 33 per cent off two-night stays, while Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is listed with savings of up to 35 per cent plus a US$25 food-and-beverage credit.

And for anyone whose Vegas philosophy is “spend less on the room, leave more for the fun”, SAHARA Las Vegas is advertising up to 60 per cent off stays, along with complimentary noon late checkout.

SAHARA separately confirms that its sale booking period runs through 11.59 pm on 26 September, with eligible stays extending from 27 September 2026 through 22 February 2027, subject to availability and blackout dates.

Shows, wheels, helicopters and a little Cirque

The promotion gets even more interesting when you add entertainment offers.

Cirque du Soleil discounts include 10 per cent off Michael Jackson ONE, 20 per cent off O and 30 per cent off Mystère.

Caesars Entertainment has also listed US$50 tickets on selected dates for a range of shows and concerts, including Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett, Empire of the Sun and Bailey Zimmerman.

The LINQ Promenade is offering up to 20 per cent off High Roller Observation Wheel tickets and up to 25 per cent off Fly LINQ Zipline tickets. The Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck at Paris Las Vegas is also listed at up to 25 per cent off.

For travellers who prefer their sightseeing several hundred metres above the desert, Maverick Helicopters is offering 25 per cent off selected experiences using the promotional code “citywide25”.

The Mob Museum and The Underground Speakeasy are offering 20 per cent savings under the promotion, while AREA15 has a buy-one-get-one offer on selected Level 1 access experience passes.

Sports fans are not forgotten either.

The Vegas Golden Knights offer lists no ticketing fees on regular-season home games, while selected Allegiant Stadium tours are discounted by 20 per cent using the code “LVCVA20”.

It is a very Vegas shopping list: Cirque, hockey, helicopters, museums, cocktails and a giant observation wheel.

Subtle it is not.

Useful for building a holiday package, however, it certainly can be.

Even the weddings are on sale

Las Vegas has also remembered one of its oldest tourism calling cards: getting married quickly, memorably and, in some cases, with Elvis nearby.

Participating wedding offers include US$50 off a Splendid Wedding Package at Mon Bel Ami Wedding Chapel using the code “VegasWinter”, while Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel is offering US$200 in upgrades on its Elvis Pink Cadillac Wedding Package under the code “VegasPinkCaddy200”.

Other participating chapels are promoting their own packages and upgrades.

For couples already contemplating a Las Vegas wedding, the sale offers a chance to combine accommodation and experience discounts with ceremony offers, rather than booking each component in isolation.

And if Elvis can help balance the holiday budget, stranger things have certainly happened in Nevada.

What Australian travel advisors should watch

For travel advisors, the strongest sales angle is not necessarily the biggest percentage printed on the page.

It is the ability to construct a better-value total trip.

A room discounted by 25 per cent with a US$100 daily resort credit may prove more attractive for some clients than a deeper room-only discount. Likewise, a hotel with free parking, breakfast, late checkout or entertainment credits can change the real cost of a stay.

Advisors should therefore compare the complete package value, not simply the room-rate percentage.

There is another reason to read the conditions carefully.

Although the LVCVA’s official five-day campaign ends on 26 September Pacific time, some participating suppliers are running longer booking windows.

Caesars Entertainment, for example, says its own Vegas sale offers can be booked through 9 am Pacific Time on Tuesday, 29 September, extending beyond the official campaign. Selected Caesars stays can also be booked for travel into 2027.

Travel dates vary widely across the promotion. Some deals focus on late 2026 travel while others extend well into 2027.

Availability, minimum stays, blackout dates, resort fees, taxes and cancellation rules can also differ from one supplier to another.

That makes this a good promotion for advisors who still do what good advisors have always done: read the conditions before the client reads the brochure headline.

Five days, more than 180 reasons

The broader message is straightforward.

Las Vegas is using price and added value to keep the destination high on travellers’ wish lists, and it is doing so across far more than hotel rooms.

With more than 180 offers in the campaign, the sheer range gives agents and consumers room to build very different trips — from a comparatively economical Strip break to a luxury stay stacked with resort credits, headline entertainment and premium experiences.

For the Australian travel trade, that breadth matters.

Vegas remains one of those destinations where the accommodation is only the opening act. Dining, entertainment, sport, attractions and nightlife can quickly become a large part of the holiday spend. A promotion that reduces several of those costs at once therefore has considerably more selling power than another lonely hotel discount.

The Vegas 5-Day Sale is live now. Travellers and advisors can compare the complete list of participating offers and booking links on the official Visit Las Vegas sale page. View the official Vegas 5-Day Sale offers

As always, check the individual supplier’s travel dates, taxes, fees, resort charges, blackout periods and cancellation conditions before handing over the credit card.

Vegas has always sold excess with a straight face.

For at least five days, it is also selling a little restraint on the bill.
