Golden Globe, Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor Anthony LaPaglia will star as Willy Loman when Arthur Miller’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Death of a Salesman arrives in Adelaide this weekend. The production previews at Festival Theatre on Saturday 26 September for a strictly limited season through 4 October, with just 11 performances.
Following recent acclaimed seasons in Melbourne and Brisbane, alongside past seasons in Sydney and Perth, Neil Armfield’s celebrated staging comes to Adelaide for the first time.
Death of a Salesman features an exceptional cast, with LaPaglia joined by Helpmann Award and Silver Logie winner Alison Whyte as Linda Loman, Josh Helman as Biff Loman and Ben O’Toole as Happy Loman. South Australian actors Mark Saturno, James Smith and Luca Sardelis also join the cast. For Adelaide-born LaPaglia, this marks his first time performing on stage in his hometown.

It’s been an amazing journey since we created the production in 2023 and Adelaide seems like a fitting place to finish the ride.”
