Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay has wrapped another successful year as the official accommodation partner of the Fiji Pro Presented by Corona Cero, following a memorable Finals Day at Cloudbreak that saw Cole Houshmand and Erin Brooks crowned champions.

The partnership once again positioned Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay as a key part of the tournament experience. Located just a 20-minute boat ride from Cloudbreak, the resort gave guests easy access to the competition while also offering its own mix of dining, wellness and cultural experiences throughout the week.

The tournament also marked another chapter in a partnership that has continued to build since the Fiji Pro returned to Fiji in 2024, when Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay first joined as an official accommodation partner. That momentum was reinforced in 2025, when the resort hosted the Lexus WSL Finals Fiji and the announcement that Fiji would remain on the World Surf League Championship Tour through 2029, cementing the event’s long-term place on the international surfing calendar.

This year, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay once again played an important role beyond accommodation, hosting the Fiji Pro’s official opening and closing ceremonies and welcoming athletes, officials, media and guests across the event week. The closing ceremony was attended by Fiji Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, with the Prime Minister presenting the winners following Finals Day at Cloudbreak. Students from neighbouring village Primary Schools were also in attendance of the closing ceremony.

Across the tournament period from 25 August to 4 September, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay recorded an average occupancy of approximately 98%, peaking at 100%, while welcoming an average of more than 470 guests per night. The figures reflect the consistently strong demand experienced by the resort across the event period.

The partnership extended the Fiji Pro experience beyond Cloudbreak with a series of activations designed for resort guests and Marriott Bonvoy members. Exclusive Marriott Bonvoy catamaran sailings were available for members to purchase, offering the opportunity to experience the competition from the water, while a limited number of Marriott Bonvoy Elite members were invited aboard the WSL VIP spectator boat to watch the action live from the lineup.

Back at Momi Bay, live broadcasts at Lagoon Lounge created a dedicated viewing atmosphere throughout the tournament, while a Surf Bar activation on Lagoon Beach offered complimentary Corona Cero beverages to guests, bringing the championship atmosphere into the resort experience.

Silvano Dressino, General Manager of Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, said: “It has been another incredible year welcoming the World Surf League community back to Momi Bay. The Fiji Pro brings together world-class sport, our local community and everything that makes Fiji such a special destination, and we are proud to continue playing a part in that experience. With an extended women’s field as part of the competition in 2026, we were also pleased to have two of the top athletes of the division staying at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay throughout the tournament.”

“With Fiji now secured on the Championship Tour through 2029, there is real momentum behind the event. We are proud of the role Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay continues to play and look forward to building on what has already been achieved over the past three years.”

With another Fiji Pro complete and Fiji’s Championship Tour presence secured through 2029, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay will continue to build on its partnership with the World Surf League and its role in welcoming the global surfing community to the destination.
