Sense Earth, a UK tour operator lead by Eswatini expert Jenny Bowen, has launched a new small group holiday to Eswatini, offering travellers the chance to discover one of Africa’s most compact, rewarding and wildlife-rich destinations.
The 11-night itinerary, Discover Eswatini, will run from 25 September to 8 October 2026 and gives individual travellers, couples and friends the opportunity to join a guided small group departure. The tour will operate with between 6 and 12 guests, creating a sociable but personal way to experience Eswatini’s wildlife, scenery and culture.
Eswatini is one of Africa’s smallest countries, but its size is also one of its great strengths. Short travelling distances allow visitors to spend more time experiencing the destination, from sitting quietly beside waterholes as rhino and elephant come in to drink, to walking among zebra and antelope in peaceful conservation areas.
The itinerary begins at Mlilwane Game Sanctuary, Eswatini’s oldest protected area, located in the Ezulwini Valley, often known as the “Valley of Heaven”. Guests will stay in traditional-style beehive huts and enjoy a gentle introduction to Eswatini’s wildlife, with opportunities to walk safely among zebra, antelope and abundant birdlife.
From there, the journey continues to Mkhaya Game Reserve, one of Eswatini’s most celebrated safari destinations. Known for its black rhino, white rhino and buffalo, Mkhaya offers a more intimate safari experience, with game drives in open Land Rovers, guided wildlife tracking and atmospheric evenings around the campfire beneath the stars.
The group will then travel to Hlane Royal National Park, Eswatini’s largest protected area and one of the best places in the country to see big game. Hlane is home to lion, elephant, rhino and large herds of plains game, with Ndlovu Camp offering guests the chance to watch wildlife from the nearby waterhole and experience the sounds of the bush at night.
The final stage of the itinerary takes guests into Eswatini’s northern highlands, staying at Hawane Resort near the dramatic landscapes of Malolotja. This area offers access to some of the country’s most scenic attractions, including Malolotja Nature Reserve, Ngwenya Mine and the Ngwenya Glass factory, providing a fitting end to a journey that blends wildlife, landscapes and local heritage.
The holiday is priced from £3,895 per person, based on twin share, with a £350 single supplement. The price includes flights from London, private transfers in Eswatini, accommodation, breakfast and dinner, seven safaris and park fees.
