Vietnam’s Alma Resort Cam Ranh has again earned a place among Southeast Asia’s finest luxury resorts after being named the No. 4 Best Resort in Southeast Asia in this year’s Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards.
The US-based publication awarded Alma an impressive score of 97.39 in its annual 100-point survey, with the World’s Best Awards widely regarded as one of the hospitality industry’s most prestigious accolades.
Now in its 31st year, the readers’ choice awards attracted more than 661,000 votes, recognising the world’s leading hotels, resorts, airlines, cruise lines, cities, islands and travel experiences.
According to Travel + Leisure the awards “continue to be a reflection of the extraordinary experiences that our trusted readers crave”, celebrating properties renowned for “exceptional service that turns inquisitive travellers into return guests”.
Alma joins an elite list of just five resorts recognised in Southeast Asia this year, featuring Regent Phu Quoc in Vietnam, Rosewood Luang Prabang in Laos, Shangri-La Boracay in the Philippines and Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort in Cambodia. The recognition marks another milestone for the independently owned beachfront resort after Travel + Leisure readers voted Alma the No. 1 Resort in Southeast Asia, No. 2 Resort in Asia and No. 9 Hotel in the World in the 2024 World’s Best Awards.
“Alma is bold, spacious and emblematic of Vietnam’s maturation as a destination and to once again be recognised by Travel + Leisure readers as one of Southeast Asia’s top resorts is an enormous honour for our entire team,” Alma’s managing director Herbert Laubichler-Pichler said. He was recently named Best General Manager in Vietnam at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific for the second year after also winning the readers’ choice award in 2024.
