Singapore Airlines (SIA) has again been recognised by Australians with two major consumer awards, reflecting its focus on service excellence and a reliable end-to-end travel experience.
Singapore Airlines was named the 2025 International Airline of the Year in the Roy Morgan Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards (announced 30 April 2026), marking its sixth consecutive win and 10th award win overall. Roy Morgan’s Customer Satisfaction Awards are based on customer satisfaction ratings collected through its Single Source survey of more than 60,000 consumers and 12,000 business decision-makers annually.
SIA also won the Reader’s Digest 2026 Australia’s Most Trusted Brands Awards in the Airlines category for the fourth year in a row (announced 1 May 2026). Now in its 27th year, the Trusted Brands Awards are based on a People’s Choice process conducted by an independent research firm representing the views of thousands of Australians.
Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President South West Pacific, Mr Foo Chai Woo said: “We are grateful to Australian travellers for their continued trust in SIA. Australia remains an important market for the SIA Group almost 60 years on from our first operations Down Under in 1967.

As part of SIA’s continued investment in Australia, SIA will deploy its Airbus A380 on the Singapore–Melbourne route during Northern Summer 2026, increasing seat capacity for customers by almost 90,000 over six months and marking the return of the award-winning Suites Class to the Melbourne market. SIA will also offer enhanced choices for Australian travellers with further schedule and aircraft updates across Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns and Melbourne during the Northern Summer and Northern Winter 2026 seasons.
Looking ahead, tickets are on sale for SIA’s daily return services to Western Sydney International Airport from 23 November 2026 on its Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft, further expanding choice for customers across Greater Sydney.
Across the global SIA network, the airline has increased capacity to and from Europe, operating three additional weekly supplementary services on the Singapore–London Gatwick route. In addition to the existing three weekly scheduled services, SQ314 and SQ313 will operate three times weekly from 31 March to 2 July 2026, daily from 3 July to 29 August 2026, and three times weekly from 1 September to 24 October 2026.

SINGAPORE AIRLINES’ AUSTRALIAN SCHEDULE UPDATES FOR THE 2026 NORTHERN SUMMER AND 2026 NORTHERN WINTER SEASONS
Singapore Airlines’ adjustments to its Australian flight schedules for the 2026 Northern Summer (29 March to 24 October 2026) and 2026 Northern Winter (1 November 2026 to 27 March 2027) are detailed below. Please note that all flight services are subject to regulatory approvals, and the aircraft deployment may vary based on operational requirements. Tickets will be made available for sale progressively through SIA’s various distribution channels.
ADELAIDE
From 3 December 2026 to 31 January 2027, SQ278/279 between Singapore and Adelaide will operate as a daily service, instead of a five-times weekly service. Together with the five-times weekly SQ276/277 service, this will bring the total number of services to Adelaide to 12-times weekly.

BRISBANE
From 1 November 2026 to 27 March 2027, the Airbus A350-900 long-haul will replace the Airbus A350-900 medium-haul on the daily SQ265/266 service between Singapore and Brisbane, introducing the Premium Economy cabin on this rotation.

CAIRNS
From 1 December 2026 to 27 March 2027, SQ203/204 between Singapore and Cairns will operate as a daily service, instead of a four-times weekly service. The Boeing 737-8 will replace the Airbus A350-900 medium-haul on this route.
Ahead of this, during the Northern Summer 2026 season, SIA will add a supplementary weekly service on the Cairns route with its Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft, with SQ203/204 operating five times weekly from 6 July to 27 September 2026.

MELBOURNE
From 29 March to 24 October 2026, SQ237 and SQ228 will operate daily on SIA’s Airbus A380, replacing the Boeing 777-300ER on these services, and marking the return of the Suites Class cabin on this route.
Additionally, from 1 May to 25 October 2026, SQ217 and SQ218 will operate daily using the Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft, replacing the Airbus A350-900 long-haul variant on these services.
Together, these fleet deployments will deliver more than 105,000 additional seats to support increased demand on the route over the period.
