Programmable.
To varying degrees, most, if not all, things in life are a consequence, outgrowth or programmable products of precedence. Arguably, the last original thought occurred nanoseconds after the Big Bang. Adaptations have evolved and abound.

In marketing, art, entertainment, and life at large, the noun original is incorrectly or judicially applied. Adaptation does not have the same resonance but is arguably more accurate. With that in mind, we may need to evaluate, analyse, and use this technology’s nature, capacities, capabilities, and potential.

A good start will be relabeling or rebranding this technology. AI is not artificial; it is the real deal. Adaptive intelligence is one alternative.

Fears that it may develop into a self-determining force of evil and control are, at this time, fears.

Conscience, emotions, nuance, Identity, ego, and Super Identity are beyond its operational parameters. ID is short for “identity” or “identification.” It is the source of psychic energy.

There is no evidence that AI has any sense of self or self-worth. Therefore, AI is optimised, if not dependent, on humans’ control, guidance, monitoring, and refinement contribution. That is a contentious point for some.

DON’T BE OVERWHELMED

Many older Post-War Baby Boomers have driven motor vehicles for over 60 years. A small number may have enjoyed the more recent experience of owning an electric vehicle.

In both modes, very few would have known how or been able to service and maintain the engines. Indeed, lifting the bonnet would have been restricted to adding water to the radiator or windscreen washer.

Despite a widespread lack of technical skills, people in that cohort can drive vehicles safely and efficiently. Therein lies the essence of introducing AI to lives and businesses. People must have the ability and knowledge to drive the technology and why.

That is not a daunting prospect. Interdependence is alive and well. There are countless technically competent professionals to sustain technology, processes, and operations to optimal performance standards. Little differs from the interdependence and reliance on plumbers, electricians, carpenters, engineers, IT experts, and social media consultants.

Well-designed and managed programmable technology—artificial intelligence—can enhance and possibly optimise a drive to greater productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, value, competitiveness, and relevance.

Think about it … intelligently. Then, ensure your programmable input and processes are tightly focused on the enterprise’s purpose, values, goals, and desired outcomes.
