Lanson Place Parliament Gardens celebrated its Grand Opening on Tuesday, 26 November, following an $80 million transformation of the historic 1901 Salvation Army Printing Works. To mark its grand Melbourne debut, the hotel is launching a community-focused initiative that honours its heritage while supporting The Salvation Army’s impactful work across Australia.
At the Grand Opening, The Salvation Army will symbolically hand over the original building plaque, signifying its transition to Lanson Place as the caretaker of the building. In a further tribute to the building’s legacy, Lanson Place will also launch its “Rounding Up for the Salvos” donation drive, inviting guests to round up their bills, with the additional amount going directly to The Salvation Army’s community programmes.
Marcus Packham, General Manager of Lanson Place Parliament Gardens, shared his excitement: “Our ‘Rounding Up for the Salvos’ initiative is an important and meaningful way for us to support The Salvation Army’s incredible work. This partnership celebrates the history of our new home while giving back to those in need, so we invite our guests to join us in making a difference within our community.”
The donation drive underscores Lanson Place’s commitment to community involvement. Launching just before the festive season, a period of giving and togetherness, it shows how the warmth of generosity can make a lasting impact at times of heightened need.
Guests staying at Lanson Place Parliament Gardens, which features 137 rooms, a 20-metre indoor heated swimming pool & spa, and the stylish Chronicle 502 Bar & Dining, will have the opportunity to participate in this initiative throughout their stay, knowing that each rounded-up dollar contributes to the Salvos’ mission to assist vulnerable Australians.
To celebrate its grand opening, Lanson Place Parliament Gardens is offering special rates starting from AUD 280 per night, marking the debut of this highly anticipated 5-star boutique hotel in Melbourne. This exclusive promotion includes complimentary breakfast buffet and a welcome drink for two, inviting guests to experience the hotel’s renowned hospitality and premium amenities from the moment they arrive.
Available for bookings through to 12 January 2025, this special offer is the perfect opportunity to discover Lanson Place Parliament Gardens—a true home away from home. The grand opening is more than just a launch; it’s a tribute to Melbourne’s vibrant culture, the rich heritage of the 1901 Salvation Army Printing Works, and the exciting arrival of Lanson Place in Australia.
