Globus family of brands continues to innovate based on guest and travel advisor feedback. For 2025, that means the world’s largest tour operator is committed to “small.” From new Small Group Discovery tours to Private and Independent options and special departure dates that cater to smaller groups, the company is delivering one-stop shopping for small group-travel next year. And that move translates to bigger, better profits for travel advisors.
Post-pandemic, travellers want smaller, more exclusive and more immersive experiences across the globe. Unlike other operators, Globus’ new Small Group Discovery tours were built from the ground-up for fewer guests which means they’re chock-full of unique and immersive experiences only made possible for small groups.
In fact, these new tours offer an average of 14 included excursions for clients, including:
  • Spending the night in a former Franciscan Monastery in Pienza (Enchanting Italy)
  • Partaking in an after-hours poetry reading at William Wordsworth’s home (Extraordinary England & Scotland)
  • Guided sightseeing with a local painter followed by a painting class in Arles (Paris & Provence)
  • Overnighting on the islands of Brac and Hvar (Croatia Island Hopper)
  • Spending the evening on a walking food tour of Santa Fe (Enchanted New Mexico)
  • “Glamping” in luxurious tents with Yellowstone as the backdrop (Majestic Montana & Yellowstone)
“Our Small Group Discovery tours deliver a premium product to clients. Promising fewer fellow travellers and incredible, immersive experiences, these new tours invite advisors to introduce the many benefits of touring to clients while earning higher profits with the click of a button,” said Brett Simon, head of commercial, Australasia at Globus family of brands. “Our partners know that every dollar spent with Globus translates to commissions earned.”
While Globus’ new Small Group Discovery tours will average just 15 guests (18 on tours outside Europe), there are even more ways for advisors to sell “small” with the company next year.
In 2025, Globus will offer the widest range of holidays for smaller groups with nearly 250 tours, totaling more than 5,000 departures across 70 countries.
“From next-gen river cruising to 12 styles of touring, we have it all,” said Simon. “What advisors might not know is that nearly our entire touring portfolio can be sold ‘small,’ including small group departure dates on a vast selection of holidays. These special departures are available on 75 per cent of Globus tours and average just 24 guests.”
Across all holiday styles, from river cruising to touring, the Globus family of brands is now catering to the “small is in” trend. The details:
  • NEW Small Group Discovery tours – Announced last week, Globus just unveiled more than 45 Small Group Discovery tours across the globe. With an average group size of 15 (18 outside of Europe), these new tours were built from the ground-up, specifically for small groups, with unique accommodations, exclusive excursions and special access throughout Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and South America.
  • Special small group departure dates – Globus offers tours to more than 70 countries and is now making it easier than ever for clients to tour the world with fewer fellow guests by offering small group departure dates on a vast selection of holidays. These special dates are available on 75 per cent of Globus tours and average just 24 guests.
  • Independent tours – On Globus’ Independent tours, guests can experience all the things they love about touring with just their own travelling companions to South America, Asia and Africa.
  • PLUS Private tours – Designed for parties from two to two dozen, Globus European Private tours offer all the benefits of a Globus published itinerary for a handpicked travelling party.
And, of course, the Globus family of brands invites cruisers to go small with Avalon Waterways aboard award-winning Suite Ships. With an average of 150 guests, Avalon gives guests the space, the time and the attention they deserve on holiday.
Delivering Unforgettable Experiences & Unimaginable Opportunities. “As a dedicated partner for travel advisors, we’re committed to making their jobs not just easier, but more rewarding,” added Simon. “Now, with a big focus on small group travel across our robust portfolio of holidays, we’re excited to inspire more bookings – and more success in 2025!”
