Zhiwaling Heritage Hotel is delighted to announce an exclusive wellness retreat led by the esteemed yoga, mindfulness, and meditation teacher, Tilottama. This immersive retreat will be held from July 22 to 27, 2024, at Zhiwaling Hotel in Paro, offering participants a unique opportunity for self-discovery and rejuvenation. The retreat includes accommodation for five nights on a full board basis (excluding beverages), with picnic lunches during excursion days. It also features a guided trek to Tiger’s Nest, nature walks, daily yoga and guided meditation sessions and additional activities such as a private ‘tsa-tsa’ or Buddhist ritual cakes molding workshop and art therapy.

New Visa & Permit System Launched
The Department of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs is pleased to launch a robust and an enhanced visa application system for tourists. The new visa application system is targeted towards providing an efficient and an effective visa processing services for tourists. A new standout feature is the ability to track the status of one’s application. 
 
Birding in Bhutan, Discover more than 700 bird species in the country
With around 700 bird species, including 50 winter migrants, Bhutan offers year-round bird activity. There are three top bird watching routes in Bhutan. These include the Narphu-Samdrup Jongkhar birding route in eastern Bhutan, the Shechamthang-Waklaytar birding route which begins at the floodplains of Sarpang Dzongkhag in southern Bhutan and the Rimchu-Gasa birding route in northern Bhutan.
 
Bhutan International Film Festival
The first ever Kingdom of Bhutan International Film Festival (KBIFF) is set to take place from September 17 to 23, 2024, organised by Bhutan Film Institute (BFI). KBIFF is a celebration of creativity and storytelling and will feature a diverse selection of films from around the world, showcasing the talents of both emerging and established filmmakers.
