Tourism Port Douglas Daintree is pleased to announce the appointment of Emma Tunnock as its new Executive Officer.

With an extensive background in marketing, tourism and economic development, Tunnock brings a wealth of experience and proven leadership skills to her new role.

She is known for her strategic approach and strong industry relationships, making her an ideal fit to lead Tourism Port Douglas Daintree.

Throughout her career, Tunnock has held pivotal roles in various organisations.

Most recently, she served as the Tourism and Economic Development Officer at Douglas Shire Council, where she executed the economic development program and worked closely with Tourism Port Douglas Daintree to support the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Tunnock’s contributions include developing Douglas Shire’s first Investment Prospectus, leading the Agricultural Options and Opportunities project and launching the “Do It in Douglas” brand, advocating for the purchase and use of local products and services.

Her marketing acumen has been honed through her roles with luxury brands such as TAG Heuer and Time+Tide Watches, where she developed marketing strategies, managed high-profile partnerships and executed successful marketing campaigns.

Commenting on her appointment, Tunnock said she was excited to join Tourism Port Douglas Daintree and build on the work being carried out by the team.

Tunnock will officially commence her role as Executive Officer on the 23rd July, 2024.
