AMERICAN_SPLENDOR_SHIPSavings, all-inclusive cruise and free hotel and tour for bookings made by June 23, 2024

Australian small ship cruise specialist, Cruise Traveller, has coupled an extended stay in Las Vegas and a tour to the Grand Canyon with an all-inclusive cruise on the iconic Mississippi River with American Cruise Lines. The new fly, cruise and stay package also comes with savings for couples and solos and complimentary accommodation and touring for bookings made by June 23, 2024.

With three departure dates available from September to November this year, Cruise Traveller’s exclusive, 12-night ‘Vegas Scenes and  Mississippi Dream’ package features a journey between the great music capitals of New Orleans and Memphis aboard American Cruise Lines’ refurbished, five-deck paddlewheeler, American Splendor. The 185-guest vessel stylishly recreates the grandeur of history’s great riverboats on the Mississippi but offers contemporary styling, large staterooms and elegant dining and lounge areas.

Showcasing the storied river scenery and culture made famous by author, Mark Twain, the 185-guest American Splendor will take guests on an immersive journey through history along the mighty Mississippi – one of the world’s great rivers, with its grand Victorian mansions, historic cotton plantations, centuries-old oak trees, charming river towns, American bald eagles, Civil War battlefields and riverside recording studios where musical greats like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison stamped their place on history

The value-filled holiday package from Cruise Traveller begins with a flight to Las Vegas from Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne or Perth and a four-night hotel stay in action-packed Vegas including a complimentary day tour by coach to the Grand Canyon. Guests are then flown to New Orleans for a  complimentary, one-night stay with time to enjoy the city’s famous French Quarter with its jazz bars, Cajun eateries and toe-tapping buskers.

It’s then time to board American Splendor in New Orleans for a seven-night journey up the Mississippi River from New Orleans to Memphis amid the anticipated hues of autumn.

Included in the fare are a range of off-shore excursions in every port including the historic towns of Natchez and Baton Rouge, the charming plantation homes of St Francisville and the grand, Greek revival mansion and plantation of  Houmas House near Burnside. The cruise ends in Memphis where included excursions feature Elvis Presley’s home of Graceland and Sun Studio where he recorded his earliest hits. From Memphis, guests will fly back to Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne or Perth.

Three departure dates in 2024 are available – September 27, October 25 and November 8.  Including return flights from Australia and within the US, and onboard excursions and beverages, the 12-night package is available from A$13,995 per person, twin share, in a Balcony Stateroom- a saving of A$825 per person. Solos can also save A$850 with a Balcony Stateroom priced from A$17,295. Fares based on November 8 departure.
