EVT Hotels and Resorts continues to grow its hotel portfolio, expanding its management footprint, property ownership and announcing several upgrades to existing properties.
QT Hotels and Resorts, Rydges, Atura, The Independent Collection and LyLo are all hospitality brands within EVT, each offering a unique experience to guests, meeting a range of travel needs. EVT has properties in Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Christchurch, and Queenstown in New Zealand, and it, along with many hotels across Australia, presents a compelling offering to travellers exploring both countries.
In early May, EVT took its social accommodation brand, LyLo, across the ditch. LyLo Brisbane joined Auckland, Queenstown, and Christchurch as the latest place for cost-conscious travellers to experience design-led, community accommodation.
With brand expansion beyond the Tasman, EVT has recently announced an expansion into Fiji with Rydges Wailoaloa, which is expected to open in late 2026. Nestled on the beachfront at Wailoaloa Beach, the resort will contain a cultural village, over 250 rooms and suites, including swim-up rooms, extensive recreation facilities, a spa, event and conferencing spaces and multiple food and beverage outlets. The property will also boast Fiji’s largest swimming pool.
EVT recently announced a planned refurbishment for QT Wellington later this year. The project includes an exciting new restaurant and refreshed rooms, all while maintaining the hotel’s signature quirky luxe.
Simon White, General Manager of Hotel Operations in New Zealand, says it’s an exciting time for EVT and that the business is looking forward to delighting guests in the new-look spaces.
“EVT has a packed calendar of refurbishments, upgrades and new properties on the horizon and we can’t wait for our guests to experience these changes first-hand. We’re incredibly proud of our brand portfolio, and EVT’s growth across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji is fantastic to see.”
EVT is also working on several other developments across the country, which will be announced soon – watch this space!
