Artificial intelligence is redefining hospitality in Asia, where the industry stands on the brink of a new frontier. At HSMAI’s Futures AI Workshop, visionary leaders will convene to explore the transformative potential of AI as a strategic tool, aiming to craft unforgettable, hyper-personalized guest experiences.
For years, the focus has been on personalization in hospitality. But now, we are entering the era of hyper-personalization, and AI is playing a pivotal role. Picture a hotel manager leveraging AI to curate a one-of-a-kind spa experience through captivating, AI-generated visuals or enabling guests to co-create their ideal stay, complete with AI-integrated housekeeping robots that cater to their every need.
Three-Pronged Approach to AI Innovation
The Futures AI Workshop introduces a three-pronged approach that will empower hotel leaders to embrace the full potential of AI:
- Unveil Hidden Potential: Discover cutting-edge AI advancements poised to revolutionize guest experiences. With 3D virtual tours, guests can explore rooms before arrival, while AI-enhanced videos showcase a hotel’s unique offerings to stand out from the competition.
- Cultivate Innovation: Foster creative problem-solving using AI to address real-world guest needs. Imagine AI-powered check-in kiosks ensuring seamless arrivals or personalized room temperature adjustments, delivering unparalleled comfort.
- Build a Strategic Roadmap: Move from isolated solutions to a comprehensive AI strategy. Seamlessly integrate AI across the guest journey, from booking to check-out—harness guest data to anticipate needs at every touchpoint and personalize interactions for an elevated experience.
Driving Efficiency and Competitive Advantage
Beyond guest services, the Futures AI Workshop will show leaders how AI can drive operational efficiency to new heights, providing a competitive edge. This innovative approach will position hoteliers at the forefront of the industry.
Joshua Ryan-Saha, Director of Traveltech at the University of Edinburgh’s Futures Institute, will lead the workshop. He oversees data-driven innovation in tourism, hospitality, and related sectors. He previously worked at The Data Lab to enhance data science skills across Scotland and managed the £10 million Longitude Prize at Nesta. His diverse background in data innovation and industry leadership makes him a pivotal guide in harnessing AI’s potential.
