Nikki Beach Hospitality Group has proudly returned to Cannes after an 18-year legacy of hosting Nikki Beach pop-ups during the film festival. This year marked the introduction of Lucia, the group’s new award-winning permanent restaurant concept in the iconic destination, which debuted in early March 2024. Situated along La Croisette, Lucia is poised to become a premier destination for industry executives, celebrities, and socialites alike during the upcoming film festival.

For nearly two decades, Nikki Beach Hospitality Group has been a fixture in Cannes, hosting renowned pop-ups since 2002. During this year’s film festival, the Lucia team will receive support from Nikki Beach team members in the region from the beach clubs in Saint Tropez and Monte Carlo, ensuring that the restaurant maintains the brand’s signature high energy during this exciting time.

Lucia Penrod, Co-founder, Owner & CEO of Nikki Beach Hospitality Group, shared, “Since 2002, we’ve hosted Nikki Beach pop-ups in Cannes during the film festival! Our aim has always been to create a welcoming haven for industry elites, journalists, celebrities, and film enthusiasts alike. Throughout the years, we’ve had the privilege of hosting legendary talent, from Bono, Quentin Tarantino, Harrison Ford, and Jude Law to Michael Douglas, Naomi Watts, and Ryan Gosling. This year promises to be our most exciting yet, as we’ve just unveiled our first new brand concept after 25 years in business. What better occasion to debut our new restaurant than amidst the vibrant festivities of the Cannes International Film Festival?”

At the heart of Lucia is its culinary philosophy, focusing on Cuisine Du Soleil – Mediterranean fare kissed by the sun. Led by Corporate Executive Chef, Alessandro Pizza, and Lucia’s Executive Chef, Yvon Mbiavanga, the menu celebrates the culinary traditions of the region with seasonal rotations. The restaurant’s design embraces maximalism, lively colors, intricate patterns, and elements inspired by the sun. Renowned artist Chiara Perano has partnered with Lucia to create captivating custom illustrations adorning the restaurant’s tables, menu covers, and more.

Derived from the Latin word “lux,” signifying all things light and bright, the name Lucia radiates enlightenment, charm, and a touch of magic. The restaurant invites guests to indulge in its chic yet laid-back atmosphere during the day and lively dinner service which will launch in June. The property features shaded outdoor areas, eye-catching indoor and outdoor tiled bars, and a beach area with full-service sun loungers and a curated menu selection.

Hours of operation for Lucia during the film festival (May 14 – May 25) are as follows:

  • Lunch: 12:00 – 17:00

  • Aperitivo: 17:00 – 21:00

  • Bar: 12:00 – 22:00
