Flavour is set to take centre stage when for the very first time, Adelaide Festival Centre partners with South Australia’s premier food and wine festival, RAA Travel’s Tasting Australia, to present the ultimate celebration of South Australian performance, food and wine with Flavour Centre Stage.
With knives and forks at the ready, guests are invited to the ultimate dinner party where they will experience a five-course culinary journey through the iconic Adelaide Festival Centre with live performances and delectable South Australian food and wine pairings where each course represents a distinct festival produced by Adelaide Festival Centre.
Hosted by multi award winning cabaret performer, singer, entertainer and cook Michelle Pearson, Flavour Centre Stage will feature an impressive lineup of South Australian performers who will spice up each course with a live performance to match. Throughout the evening, diners will also hear from chief winemaker Tim Dolan from 5-star James Halliday rated winery Kaesler Wines who will talk through his hand selected wines all paired with food by Adelaide Festival Centre’s head chef Ryan Willard.

Diners will delight in a unique South Australian menu and performances which include:
First course – Indigenous ingredients in collaboration with First Nations’ family-owned catering business Block Ya Dot, and a performance by dance collective Tjarutja Dance Company, who explore storytelling through dance, representing Adelaide Festival Centre’s year-round commitment to celebrating First Nations.
Second course – Asian influence and a performance by Aria nominated Punjabi Australian singer and dancer Parvyn from the much-loved The Bombay Royale who incorporates contemporary pop with classical Indian raga melodies with rhythm soul and jazz, to celebrate OzAsia Festival, Australia’s leading contemporary arts festival engaging with Asia.
Third course – Spanish influence with a performance of majestic Flamenco by Casa de Flamenco, with guitarist Aloysius Leeson, dancer Kristy Manuel and guests presenting authentic flamenco celebrating Adelaide Guitar Festival, an exciting annual program of events by world-class guitarists.
Fourth course – French influence with performance by award winning cabaret favourite and chanteuse Louise Blackwell with her band the French Set, inspired by Adelaide Cabaret Festival, the largest cabaret festival in the world.
Fifth course – a playful dessert with a performance by the always energetic and amazing performers from Cirkidz marvel as they thrill in celebration of DreamBIG Children’s Festival, the longest running children’s festival in the world.
