Europe Reawakens 2024 2Experiencing a moment of tranquil transition, Aman’s coastal sanctuaries Amanzoe, Greece and Amanruya, Turkey reopened for the season on 1 April 2024. Joining the year-round European and North African escapes of Aman Venice, Italy, and Amanjena, Morocco, there are a host of new experiences to discover including a new Fitness and Optimisation Retreat at Amanzoe and exclusive private Artisans tour at Aman Venice. Meanwhile, Alpine châteaux, Aman Le Mélézin, France, will close its doors on 7 April 2024 until December following a snow-filled winter season.
 
Amanzoe, Greece
A modern-day Acropolis on the east coast of the Peloponnese, Amanzoe welcomes, for the first time in Europe, Aman’s new beach club restaurant, Nura. Launched at flagship property, Amanpuri, Thailand, Nura elevates Amanzoe’s Beach Club, capturing the essence of the Mediterranean lifestyle in a symphony of warmth and elegance, with indulgent seafood and freshly grilled dishes set to a backdrop of melodic, soothing beats. Additionally, new executive chef, Konstantinos Mouzis, reinvigorates the culinary offering at Amanzoe, presenting traditional Greek flavours learned from his grandmother, alongside an array of other cuisines. The popular OPA BBQalso provides an authentic, lively experience every Tuesday night at Nura this season, offering Greek inspired cuisines and traditional entertainment such as live music and dancing as the golden sun sets over the horizon.

Surrounded by centuries old olive groves is the resort’s 2,788 square-metre (30,000 square-foot) Aman Spa. Available all season, the new one-day Fitness & Recovery Optimisation Retreat begins with a 45-minute fitness consultation including postural analysis and InBody assessment to determine health and fitness goals. With a bespoke wellness plan curated by the spa team, the programme includes hour-long functional training and outdoor cardio sessions, plus dedicated recovery time with a 60-minute massage, Cellgym, and contrast therapy, which stimulates circulation and promotes healing.

Throughout the season, Amanzoe welcomes Visiting Wellness Practitioners revered in health, fitness and holistic wellbeing, including Irene Maranon, a specialist in Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and sports rehabilitation expert, Julian Martin. Additionally, integrative wellness therapist, Jane Wong, offers holistic treatments such as craniosacral therapy, pranayama and kinetic chain release, promoting spiritual and physical alignment. Furthermore, the property’s partnership with LUX Tennis Academy continues in 2024, with Zimbabwean tennis pro Alexander Yalias leading private coaching clinics.

In addition to outdoor pursuits, the resort has enhanced its family offering with the addition of an air-conditioned Games Room situated adjacent to the property’s iconic marble reception area, with billiard, air hockey, table tennis and more for all ages to enjoy.

Ideally placed for exploring the region’s historic islands and remarkable ruins, new experiences this year include traditional Syrtaki dance lessonswith local instructors, private boat excursions around the Saronic islands and Peloponnese coastline. For budding oenophiles, enjoy a day-long visit to the Vineyards of Nemea – discovering the most revered wineries of one of Greece’s most important wine regions, and a bespoke private tour of the UNESCO sites of Epidaurus & Mycenae. With the introduction of scuba diving trips through Porto Heli’s turquoise waters and a horseback escape in the fragrant natural surrounds, a multitude of adventures await at Amanzoe.

A captivating Beach Club situated alongside the glistening azure waters of the Aegean, standalone guest Pavilions encircled by shady gardens and private pools, and a multiple dining venues celebrating local and international cuisines, Amanruya provides an elegant escape to relax and rejuvenate.

Available throughout the season, a Traditional Turkish Cooking Classprovides a charming and immersive opportunity to experience the destination’s rich culinary heritage. With guidance provided by Amanruya’s skilled chefs, embark on a journey through the Aegean and craft the perfect meze, Zeytinyağlı specialty dishes and Turkish desserts, such as Şekerpare, in an idyllic open-air kitchen.

Continuing the exceptional culinary experience, a new adventure in Bodrum offers the opportunity to handpick the freshest seasonal produce during a guided tour of the local market. Available on selected dates during the season, the ingredients are then transformed into dishes to savour alfresco at one of Amanruya’s several terraces. Perfect for both wine connoisseurs and culinary adventurers, Turkish Wine Pairing Dinner Series throughout June debuts an intimate dining experience for up to 12 guests. Each menu is carefully curated by the resort’s chefs to complement a selection of the region’s finest wines, served against the mesmerising backdrop of a private Aegean Bay.

An intimate sanctuary dedicated to holistic wellness, a new guided nature walk through the verdant forest at Amanruya provides an idyllic chance for grounding and rejuvenation this season.

Amanjena, Morocco 

Set in its own expanse of gardens and palatial open spaces, Amanjena is a peaceful year-round paradise situated just outside of Marrakech.

Paying homage to the city’s rejuvenating traditions, new treatments this season include the Qasr Hammam, a 90-minute head-to-toe hammam experience, including a luxurious hair ritual and soothing steam-room massage. Furthermore, the introduction of the Body Mask is designed to detoxify and uses Moroccan herbs and spices to hydrate the skin, while the 60-minute Aman Advanced Facial combines products from the Essentials Skin line with exfoliation and manual lifting techniques to stimulate face muscles and improve the skin’s overall texture. Debut wellness experiences include mindfulness workshops and pressure point sessions designed to apply targeted pressure to meridian or energy pathways, promoting relaxation and restoring the body’s energy flow.

Curating new cultural adventures for families, Amanjena offers the chance to gain a deeper appreciation for the rich traditions of the destination while supporting local communities in Marrakech. A 90-minute art workshop with Franco-Basque artist, Oona Ibar, imparts traditional art techniques, ignites creativity and provides the meditative and psychological benefits associated with making art. Additional experiences include calligraphy sessions, providing the chance to learn more about one of the world’s most ancient and respected art forms, and interactive pottery workshops with a local artist skilled in the art of sculpting and ceramics.

An intimate Palazzo situated on the iconic Grand Canal, Aman Venice is a year-round escape, with a host of new experiences and cultural events providing even more reasons to visit this summer.

Inspired by the city’s romantic essence, a bespoke two-hour Perfume Olfactory Workshop with a local master Perfumer is now exclusively available at Aman Venice. Journey through history and uncover the ancient process of perfume making before blending handpicked aromas to create a bespoke scent. Continuing the experience, Aman Venice’s skilled mixologist will craft a cocktail that reflects the nuanced bouquet of the tailored fragrance. Also new this season, a Secret Islands tour with a local Venetian guide explores undiscovered islands and the culture of the floating city.

To celebrate the 60th edition of the Venice Biennale taking place in the city from 20 April–24 November 2024, Aman Venice has created a Venice of the Artisans tour, providing access to some of the oldest and most established ateliers in town for a rare glimpse into the world of Venetian artistry. The private three-hour experience weaves through Venice’s history of traditional craftsmanship, unveiling Bevilacqua weavers as they masterfully create hand-hewn textiles and Orsoni artisans as they craft hand-cut mosaics in one of the last remaining glass factories in Venice.

Additionally, Sundays in Italy are traditionally reserved for la dolce far niente– meaning ‘the art of doing nothing’. This summer season, a leisurely three-course Italian brunch of epicurean delights under the 16th century chandeliers in Arva’s dining room encourages a slower pace of life, with a 60-minute massage in the spa providing a perfect ending to the day.
