Riviera Travel has revealed that river ship Lord Byron will be refurbished ahead of its 2024 cruise season.

All 74 cabins on the 140-guest ship will be renovated, while the La Brasserie restaurant will feature new decor and a fresh design.

Guests will also benefit from new furniture in the public areas and replacement carpets will be installed throughout.

Work is being carried out at the shipyard in Chalon, France, and will be completed for the start of the 2024 season.

Will Sarson, head of product at Riviera, said: “These improvements to our much-loved ship Lord Byron will enhance the overall guest experience. From fresh touches in the cabins to new décor in the restaurant and public spaces, we are looking forward to providing a warm and appealing environment for all guests who sail with us.”

Lord Byron will primarily operate cruises on the Rhône river in 2024, starting from April.
