Discover Airlines takes off again from Munich on short and medium-haul routes

Just in time for the start of the summer flight schedule on 31 March 2024, Discover Airlines will be taking off again on short and medium-haul routes from Munich. A total of 23 different leisure destinations and almost 70 weekly departures are on the flight schedule of the airline, which operated exclusively on behalf of Lufthansa at the Munich hub last year. It is now taking off from Terminal 2 under its own flight number (4Y) and will base five Airbus A320 in Munich over the course of the summer.

From the Canary Islands, to numerous Mediterranean destinations and Bodrum in Turkey. The leisure airline’s flight schedule guarantees plenty of sunshine. All the well-known holiday classics are included in the program. The airline flies most frequently to Ibiza (11x), Mallorca (9x) and Heraklion and Chania on the island of Crete (9x). Greece fans can look forward to the largest number of choices: with a total of eleven destinations and around 30 weekly flights, the range of destinations is more varied than ever. Brand new in the Lufthansa Group’s portfolio: the island of Kefalonia, which with its versatility is an insider tip for beach and hiking holidays. Discover Airlines is also the only airline to offer direct flights from Munich to Varna (Bulgaria), Marrakesh (Morocco) and Samos (Greece). In late summer, Hurghada in Egypt and Funchal on the island of Madeira will be added to the portfolio.

“We are looking forward to taking off from Munich again this summer and expanding our presence at this important hub. This complements the Lufthansa Group’s offering in Munich and gives travelers even more choice – including to holiday destinations that were previously not served by direct flights,” says Bernd Bauer, CEO of Discover Airlines.
