Over four days you visit all the Australian battlefields of the Western Front, walking in the footsteps of the Anzacs on all the main battlefield sites in Flanders, the Ypres Salient and the Somme. We stay in the heart of the battlefields, and spend time exploring the cobblestone streets of medieval Ypres in Belgium as well as villages in the Somme, meeting local people, experiencing culture and tasting the cuisine, as well as uncovering the battlefield history. I personally designed the itinerary to include special behind the scenes experiences and selected the expert Historians to guide our Western Front Explorers, who help to bring the history to life and can assist travellers to follow in the footsteps of their own Anzac relatives who fought and died on the Western Front.”
