Carnival 2024

This one-of-a-kind event is an expression of the island’s distinctive spirit and will feature performances by amazing carnival bands.  From 3rd-9th April Kingston and Ocho Rios will host the Jamaican Carnival event series at multiple venues. The carnival includes a Road March on the 7th in grand parade fashion, where the streets come alive with creative, colourful costumes and infectious energy. Experience firsthand, the pulsating energy that permeates the island.

Reggae Sumfest 

The Beat Goes on with Reggae through the summer. Experience the vibrant energy of Jamaica with the week-long Reggae Sumfest, from July 14th – 20th. Established in 1993, the festival boasts a history spanning close to 30 years, garnering lots of love from visitors and media worldwide. Having hosted A-list artists like Rihanna, Kanye West, Usher and Nicki Minaj, this iconic festival continues to showcase the best of Jamaica’s indigenous reggae music and dancehall culture.

Liguanea Art Festival

  The Caribbean’s largest fine art exhibition, will return on 28th April, marking its 15th year. Hosted at Liguanea Plaza in Kingston, this anticipated event showcases over 100 artists displaying their masterpieces in fine art, photography, sculpture and jewellery. Engage in one-on-one interactions with artists, explore their techniques, gain insights into their inspiration and even purchase original pieces.

Celebrate Independence Day the Jamaican Way

August unfolds with a series of events celebrating Jamaica’s independence, starting with the first annual Maroon Jerk Fest from 4th-6th August. Embark on a flavourful journey in Portland honouring the rich culinary traditions, culture and environment of the Maroon community—the original creators of Jerk cuisine.

Returning for its 6th annual celebration is the Jamaica Rum Festival in Kingston. Immerse yourself in the world of rum this June with interactive exhibits, diverse rum tastings and mouthwatering local cuisine at the food court. Dive into mixology sessions, dance competitions and an evening of unforgettable musical performances.

Move Your Body in the Reggae Marathon

On 8th December, Negril will host Jamaica’s premier international marathon, the Reggae Marathon. From amateur to professional, runners of all levels have the option to participate in the 10k half marathon or full marathon. Run to your heart’s delight before logging in your personal record.
