Day 2 | Tuesday February 13
Today was the first official day of racing for the 2024 Cannonball MTB Festival. Kicking off with the Osprey All-Mountain Assault Race, competitors put their stamina to the test across a 6 kilometre racetrack that challenged even the most avid enduro purist with rock rolls, pinch climbs and steep switchbacks.

While the final times were tight, it was ultimately Ryan Gilchrist and Ellie Smith who took out the wins in today’s Pro Division. For the full event results, please click here.

The Thredbo Ambassador crew brought out some killer results today with Junior Ambassador Maddie Lloyd absolutely smashing her division to take out the win and Jack Moir taking out third place in the Pro Men category.

A Huge Week Ahead
The action is only just getting started with the Fox Flow Motion Cup race going down tomorrow and Thursday, the RockShox Pump Track Challenge on Thursday evening, the all-new Maxxis Dual Slalom race on Friday, plus the famous Oakley Australian Open Downhill Finals and the Deity Whip Wars on Saturday.

With a huge variety of terrain remaining open to the public every day throughout the festival, guests are encouraged to bring their bikes and get in some laps in between watching the pros each day.

The fun doesn’t stop on the race course at Cannonball either with a huge lineup of entertainment, live music and activations happening all week.

Tomorrow evening at 5PM, bring the kids and come along to Alpine Bar to meet the pros at the athlete poster signing session.

With daily DJ sets, a huge Cannonball Closing Party at Alpine Bar featuring a set from The Terry’s on Saturday night followed by the Official After Party at The Keller Bar, the live music lineup is stacked all week with free events.

The incredible atmosphere of the Cannonball Pit Village is back in action all week with a huge variety of the best MTB brands setting up shop, offering deals and discounts, and hosting activations each day.
