To celebrate the year of the Dragon, Island Shangri-La has put together two memorable and exciting room packages. Starting from HKD5,800 per night for two guests, the packages include the “Dragon in Full Swing” Chinese New Year Experience, and a fun-filled Chinese New Year Family Getaway.

“Dragon in Full Swing” Chinese New Year Experience
The Dragon in Full Swing Chinese New Year package will offer guests exclusive experiences across Shangri-La Group’s three Hong Kong hotels and within Island Shangri-La itself. Taking place between from 11 to 13 February, featuring world-class talents from around the globe, each hotel will transform into a unique stage, allowing our guests to navigate and fully embrace the spirit of Lunar New Year.
The internationally renowned Xi’an Acrobatic Troupe will be showcasing their performances from the CCTV Spring Festival Gala at Island Shangri-La and Kowloon Shangri-La. Established in Xi’an in 2019, the troupe strives to promote Chinese folk-art culture through the mediums of acrobatics and dance. They will perform three different acrobatic ballets including a version of Swan Lake that will be sure to mesmerise spectators.
Khuan Loke Dragon & Lion Dance Association from Malaysia will take the stage at the Kerry Hotel, infusing the festivities with vibrant and jubilant energy, bringing good luck and fortune to the new year. This group were crowned the winners of the World Lion Dance Championship in 2023 and have won numerous global awards and accolades over the years – their performance is not one to be missed!
And to travel seamlessly between the properties on opposite sides of the harbour, guests are invited to alight aboard an iconic traditional red-sail Chinese junk boat to gently cruise through Victoria Harbour, immersing themselves in the historic legends of Hong Kong while enjoying the breathtaking skyline views.
On 11 February, guests are also invited to enjoy the Chinese New Year Fireworks Display Party to revel in the spectacular fireworks display from Island Shangri-La’s Harbour Room which has uninterrupted views of the skyline whilst enjoying live entertainment and delicious Hong Kong market-themed snacks, Moutai ice cream and Champagne.
The Dragon in Full Swing package is priced at HKD5,800 per night for two people and includes daily breakfast, dining credits, and exclusive access to all the Chinese New Year experiences across all three Shangri-La Hotels in Hong Kong during Chinese New Year.
Chinese New Year Family Getaway Package
Families staying at Island Shangri-La over Chinese New Year can also book the action-packed Family Getaway package for a stay in a Family Room with two adults and two kids. This package focuses on family building activities during this special time of the year, with lots of fun experiences to keep the kids busy, such as a Family Workshop and a Chinese New Year themed Treasure Hunt at Hong Kong Park.
In addition, the Family Getaway package includes access to the famous Aberdeen Marina Club Kid’s Club, for an afternoon full of fun away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
