AIME - logoThe business world is abuzz with anticipation for the forthcoming AIME 2024, poised to redefine the standards of global business events. In a spectacular show of growth and innovation, the AIME event, now in its 31st year, is set to surpass the rousing success of its 30th-anniversary celebration.

A staggering 40% increase in exhibitors marks this year’s event, scaling up to over 500 participants. This leap is a testament to AIME’s monumental impact on the business events landscape, mirroring the dynamism and evolution of the industry. The event will also host over 600 curated buyers, marking a 51% growth from the previous year, with 160 international buyers converging in Melbourne this February.

AIME’s global reach extends across 27 countries, creating a melting pot of ideas and collaborations. Participants range from convention bureaus, hotels, unique venues, and event technology companies, to destination management companies, airlines, and cruise companies. The diversity in exhibitors underscores AIME’s commitment to fostering a holistic business events ecosystem.

A striking feature of AIME 2024 is the enlarged show floor, accommodating the growing number of participants and introducing innovative zones like The Boutique and DMC Network. The Boutique is a celebration of bespoke experiences, spotlighting independent wineries, luxury venues, and personalized services. Meanwhile, the DMC Network zone is a first-of-its-kind space dedicated to Destination Management Companies, offering tailored regional experiences for conferences and events.

Silke Calder, AIME Event Director, shared her enthusiasm: “AIME 2024 is more than an event; it’s a movement shaping the future of business events. Our expanded platform and diverse participation reflect the industry’s dynamic evolution and our commitment to driving it forward.”

The event’s structure facilitates impromptu meetings and networking opportunities, fostering connections and collaborations. This structure is crucial for an industry reliant on the power of personal connections and shared experiences.

Visitors can expect over 15,000 pre-scheduled meetings, enabling meaningful interactions with a global array of exhibitors. The event anticipates more than 3500 visitor buyers, media, and suppliers, further solidifying AIME’s status as a cornerstone event in the business events calendar.

AIME’s Welcome Event, known as the “party of the year,” is scheduled for 19 February 2024. This much-anticipated gathering is expected to draw over 1500 attendees, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.

The Knowledge Program, themed “The 4Ps of GLOCALISATION,” is another highlight, exploring the interplay between global trends and local nuances. Featuring keynote speakers Lisa Ronson and Sebastian Terry, the program aims to delve into the transformative aspects of glocalisation. Concurrent breakout sessions will focus on People, Planet, Purpose, and Profit, featuring a novel pitch segment titled ‘The Pitch’.

Running alongside AIME is the Ideas Academy, presented by Spice Magazine. This segment offers panels and discussions on various topics, including event accessibility, trends in food and events, and sustainable event planning. The Academy’s sessions are free and open to all attendees, underscoring AIME’s commitment to accessible education and inspiration.

In line with its progressive vision, AIME 2024 emphasizes sustainability, reducing print collateral and introducing digital assets. The return of eco-conscious exhibitors like Cardboard Mill, which crafts furniture and signage from recycled cardboard, is a nod to the event’s environmental responsibility.

As AIME 2024 gears up to open its doors, the global business events community eagerly anticipates an event that promises to be both a celebration and a catalyst for industry innovation and growth.
