Qantas A350-1000 over Sydney Harbour Travel agents will soon have more ways to access to Qantas’ New Distribution Capability (NDC) content through a new portal the airline is launching next year.
• From February 2024, the portal will give agents who may not access Qantas NDC content via an Approved Technology Partner the ability to shop, book and service flights using the capabilities of the Qantas Distribution Platform.
• Through the Qantas Distribution Platform, agents in more than 60 countries can access a wider range of products, features and capabilities which are only possible via NDC.
• Tailored for simple customer bookings, the portal aims to make benefits of the Qantas Distribution Platform more accessible for agencies.
• The portal is part of the airline’s commitment and investment in the capabilities of its NDC program, including lowering domestic and trans-Tasman fares for trade partners, designed to unlock broader industry benefits and modernise how agents service customers.
• Qantas continues to invest in its network of Approved Technology Partners, which play an integral role in delivering rich Qantas NDC content, to ensure more agency partners can access the Qantas Distribution Platform.
• The launch of the portal comes as the airline updated its NDC Capability Listing tool and glossary, which provides a comprehensive overview of the NDC capabilities available via its Technology Partners and the portal.
• Registration and access to the portal will be available through the Qantas Agency Connect website from February 2024
