Following its restoration in spring 2023, The Georgian in Santa Monica is thrilled to announce its membership in The Leading Hotels of the World. Joining the largest and most exclusive collection of independent luxury hotels in the world, The Georgian is LHW’s only property in Santa Monica and its second in the Los Angeles area.

Perched above the Santa Monica waterfront, The Georgian has been a fixture of the Southern California coastline since its debut in 1933. After a historically inspired restoration by hoteliers Jon Blanchard and Nicolo Rusconi of BLVD Hospitality, The Georgian reopened to the public on April 3rd, 2023. Under their creative direction, through the eye of leading interior architecture and design firm, Fettle, the hotel reimagines the iconicity of the 30’s in a contemporary landscape, placing emphasis on hospitality and culture. Maintaining the original concept’s striking features and presence throughout, complemented by thoughtful design, the property offers 84 keys – with 56 classic rooms and 28 one-bedroom suites – with sweeping ocean views. Guests are transported to a new era as they experience world-class service in a true Art Deco landmark, where each detail of The Georgian experience translates to a hotel as charming as it is unique.
Steeped in the area’s rich history, The Georgian has been and will continue to be deeply involved in the Santa Monica community. The hotel’s heritage is boldly embraced through close relationships with the Santa Monica History Museum, The Santa Monica Conservancy, and more.

The Library, which features a curated Hugo Guinness collection, presents a fully-stocked study with books curated by Lee Kaplan of Culver City’s Arcana: Books on the Arts. Gallery 33, the hotel’s inspired contemporary gallery has been designed to celebrate the best of culture and the arts and host the most unique of gatherings through an evolving program. The Italian steakhouse and jazz bar within the hotel, The Georgian Room, authentically recreates the glamorous era when it welcomed iconic figures like Carole Lombard, Clark Gable, “Bugsy” Siegel, Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle, Judy Garland, and others.
