Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, will return for its tenth year as the Official Airline of the Australian Open 2024, celebrating a decade of commitment and unwavering support of the tournament.

Emirates is proud to honour its commitment to Australia, and passion for supporting incredible local and international sporting events, through its ongoing sponsorship of the Australian Open. Since partnering with Tennis Australia in 2015, Emirates has been dedicated to flying tennis fans and players in comfort and safety across six continents to share unforgettable moments at the matches.

Attendees can expect a wealth of exceptional experiences from Emirates throughout the tournament with the return of many fan favourites as well as new additions for 2024.

Kids Tennis Day presented by Emirates

  • The airline maintains its sponsorship of the iconic AO Ballpark presented by Emirates, set to officially open on Kids Tennis Day presented by Emirates on 13 January.
  • This year, the AO Ballpark presented by Emirates includes a variety of interactive games and activities, including the Emirates Cloud Catcher, themed art wall and Emirates Quiz Boards.

Emirates Day at the Australian Open

  • Emirates is proud to present Emirates Day on 16 January, with a range of #FlyBetterMoments for spectators – such as meeting the iconic Cabin Crew and having a polaroid snap taken to celebrate the Australian Open partnership.
  • Guests to the tournament will also have a chance to collect a highly sought after, limited-edition, Emirates x AO seat cushion.

Emirates world class hospitality

  • The Australian Open 2024 also marks the welcome return of Emirates’ hospitality suite.
  • An all-time favourite amongst celebrities and invited guests, the suite promises to encapsulate the airline’s renowned premium hospitality experience, with a menu inspired by the top destinations flown to from Australia, including Australasian, Asian, Middle Eastern, plus Mediterranean and northern European flavours.
  • This year’s Emirates hospitality suite is inspired by the airline’s flagship A380 aircraft, with a sleek cream and bronze dining aesthetic.
  • The latest Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge Bar will make its debut in the suite, offering VIPs a speciality Tie Breaker cocktail comprised of Aperol, Sloe Gin, lemon juice and Schweppes Agrum Blood Orange Soda.
  • As the world’s largest operator of the A380, the suite’s theme will pay tribute to the aircraft and the industry leading multi-billion-dollar aircraft retrofit programme currently underway at Emirates, to which 57 A380s will be appointed with the airline’s new Premium Economy cabin, alongside a refresh of Business Class, First Class and Economy cabins.

Emirates multi award-winning inflight entertainment system ice also means tennis fans in the air won’t miss a moment of the Australian Open 2024. Matches will be aired live on Sport 24 onboard the aircraft, as well as in the A380 onboard lounges, and across dedicated Emirates airport lounges.

Emirates in Australia has had a bumper year, boosting its services in Melbourne, and nationwide. In March, Emirates began offering Australians a third daily service from Melbourne which introduced a stopover to Singapore. In April the airline marked the debut of its new Premium Economy cabin from Melbourne, becoming the fifth city on Emirates’ network to offer the service, placing Australia and the wider region at the forefront of the airlines multi-billion-dollar retrofit programme.

Emirates has been serving Australia for more than 25 years, transporting over 40 million passengers to and from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, and other destinations via its Dubai hub since 1996. Currently operating 63 weekly return services to Australia and offering close to 56,000 seats to and from its four major gateways, Emirates operates three daily return services from Dubai to Melbourne and Sydney, two daily flights to Brisbane, and a daily service to Perth.
