After almost a year of anticipation, a stylish and spectacular Amora Brisbane has risen to offer the city a boutique luxury hotel experience like no other. With the final touches to its extensive $30 million transformation now complete, the hotel is relaunching under its new vision this December. The redesign is a monumental moment for the Amora Group and marks a new era for luxury accommodation in Brisbane, which is busily preparing for several upcoming major events.
The reimagined hotel boasts 296 guest rooms, across 14 lavish floors, with the top two floors featuring Amora’s premier rooms and suites. Facilities include an elevated outdoor pool and deck, with a fitness studio and sauna, and 11 revived conference and event spaces, purveying the latest technology.
A balanced design that promotes wellness and energy
Guests will experience the difference of Amora from the moment they arrive, stepping into a space created in harmony with nature by leading designers, Cottee Parker. On arrival, guests enter a free-flowing space set among an array of green plants, natural materials and textured screens, creating a harmonious sub-tropical oasis.
The relaxed ambience of the outdoor space extends into the light-filled lobby and draws on an earthy and natural palette for its interior spaces. A delightful paired scent fills the air with notes of Italian mandarin, Benzoin Balsam, amber, jasmine and patchouli. The furniture is a mix of select and decorative rattans, walnut tones and tan fabrics set within areas featuring fluted glass windows and gold finishings.
“Over the past few years, we’ve noticed that travellers have an evolved mindset, and are seeking out more unique and meaningful experiences to enhance their stay. With Amora Brisbane, luxury becomes the love language for our guests and we offer them a 5-star level of service that anticipates their every desire,” says Earp Siriphatrawan, Executive Director of Amora Group.
Reimagined rooms for guest comfort and indulgent experiences
Amora Brisbane provides guests with a spectacular selection of unique room categories. Each room continues the sense of wellness and energy with brand-new luxury beds and exquisite bathrooms. An open wardrobe design gives every room a more spacious feel, while an elegant wallpaper evokes historical images of a Tunisian oasis.
The Amora Premier King and Amora Premier Twin rooms and 67 sqm Amora Balcony Suites occupy the top two floors of the hotel, exhibiting luxurious additional features. The one-bedroom suites include an elegant kitchenette, bar and living area, broad double basins in the bathroom, a balcony and can interconnect with an additional Amora King room for extra space. The premier rooms and suites include a complimentary seasonal minibar, refreshed daily with lavish local products, beverages, snacks, Australian wines and craft beers from Revel Brewing. Guests can feel pampered with ELEMIS skincare products, freshly brewed pod coffee and plush Terry bathrobes and slippers. Rooms on the top floor include a spacious balcony with a spectacular vista of the skyline and Brisbane River
The standard Amora King and Amora Twin rooms have the same design elements throughout, as do the higher-level Cityview King and Twin rooms with views of the skyline. Guests can enjoy 24-hour room service and access an array of hotel cuisine and local Australian flavours, with easy ordering through a QR-enabled menu.
A technological and sustainable focus
Every hotel guest, conference and event attendee receives complimentary access to Gigabit internet through Wi-Fi or fibre-optic connections. Chromecast is also available in every room for added connectivity.
With its elegant redesign, the hotel aims to pamper its business and corporate events clientele and attract more guests looking for luxurious leisure stays and picturesque wedding venues.
Amora Brisbane is committed to several sustainability initiatives including partnering with EarthCheck, and has updated its lighting, plant and equipment systems throughout the building to reduce energy usage. The team has a strong focus on minimising food waste through each of its kitchens as well as its restaurant and bar.
A beacon for business and leisure in Brisbane
With 1148 sqm in total, Amora Brisbane’s 11 conference and event spaces are flexible and suit events with up to 250 guests. Amora Brisbane brings luxurious elegance to meetings, incentive conferences and events (MICE) and social events of all sizes. The hotel has partnered with Microhire to offer the latest event technology as a seamless experience for event coordinators.
The transformation of Amora Brisbane comes at a momentous time for Queensland as the capital city will soon play host to several major events including two Rugby World Cups and the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The redesign answers an urgent need for increased capacity of luxury accommodation in Brisbane and sets the bar at a “pole vault” high level for excellence.
“We’re really proud of the stunning design for Amora Brisbane that helps to create an atmosphere of wellness and relaxation like no other. We’re redefining the luxury experience where guests can expect a 5-star level of personalised service that embodies the Amora difference,” says Tom Bloomfield, General Manager, Amora Brisbane.
In addition to the redesign, an exceptional new food dining experience is coming soon to Amora Brisbane. The new culinary concept will celebrate Australian native ingredients and showcase outstanding local produce.
The significant investment in Amora Brisbane is the largest hotel refurbishment in Australia for Amora Group and brings the brand’s legacy back to its roots. The Amora story began in Australia over 25 years ago with its first investment in the Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne.
