The Belvedere Hotel, the renowned and historic establishment perched on the picturesque Bramble Bay, is thrilled to announce its grand reopening after a substantial multimillion-dollar redevelopment – many years in the planning.
A proud part of the community since 1901, “The Bel” triumphantly reintroduces itself as the perfect central meeting point for friends and family, celebrating the soul of Queensland with sweeping water views, fresh air, and a distinct, welcoming atmosphere. It is a key component within parent company Lewis Land Group’s portfolio of leisure, property, and retail assets.
“The Belvedere is a generational favourite, deeply entwined with the community spirit and the blissful outdoor lifestyle that defines Queensland,” said Chris Allison, QLD regional manager of Lewis Land Group.
“Our redevelopment has been meticulously planned and executed to enhance and preserve historic elements while elevating the experience for today’s patrons.”
Invigorated Space: Magnified Experience
With an investment of well over $10 million into its transformative renovations, the new Belvedere can comfortably seat over one thousand guests throughout the venue, offering a plethora of dining and entertainment options. The property boasts revitalised indoor dining spaces with outdoor shaded terraces, a level 1 dining and bar area that offers breathtaking sunset views, as well as a brand-new public bar, and state-of-the-art gaming facilities. The refreshed outdoor Pavilion bar and bistro come with new bathrooms, new flooring, and booth seating, ensuring comfort and style in every corner.
All Day, Every Day: A Culinary Journey from Dawn to Dusk
Open from 8 am daily, The Belvedere welcomes guests for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, championing an all-new menu that features a delectable range from steaks, burgers, and salads to an exciting seafood section, crowned by a substantial seafood platter for two or four people. An event in itself, the order of a seafood platter sets off bells ringing throughout the venue, sparking a vibrant, celebratory atmosphere. Not to forget, the new pizzeria and gelato bar that adds a delightful Italian twist to the offerings.
There’s been a remarkable surge in trade. “More than 20,000 people come through the doors each week and we’re on track to sell approximately 270,000 schooners of beer and 40,000 parmys this year,” said Mr Allison.
Celebrations at the Heart
“The Belvedere has always been synonymous with celebration. Our new venue encourages and allows for both bookings and walk-in trade at any time of the day, ensuring that we’re perpetually ready to host and toast to your special moments,” Mr Allison added. Particularly highlighted is the expansive and dog-friendly outdoor dining space, reinforcing the venue’s commitment to being an inclusive, joyous, family-friendly destination.
During the renovation process, over 200 individuals were employed, and notably, The Belvedere’s core staff were retained and paid throughout the closure period, reflecting a steadfast commitment to its people. Moving forward, the Lewis Land Group continues to review additional development opportunities on adjacent land, hinting at more exciting possibilities in the near future.
Mr Allison noted that The Belvedere was also perfectly positioned halfway between the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, making it an ideal place to stop over and catch up with friends.
Embracing a rich history while navigating towards a vibrant future, The Belvedere intertwines the love for the outdoors, community, and genuine, hearty celebrations. As sunsets and celebrations make their grand return to this beloved establishment, the Lewis Land Group invites one and all to create new memories, share in the joy, and relish in the revitalised ambiance of The Belvedere.
