Amidst the hustle and bustle of international business travel, intense competition is heating the skies. Renowned global finance platform Tipalti has unveiled its Business Travel Index, and the results are nothing short of sensational. The index meticulously evaluated the high-end offerings of the world’s premier airlines, scrutinizing every corner of their business lounges and assessing the quality of their in-flight service.
Diving into the data, it’s undeniable: eight airlines have soared to new heights, locking in a tie for first place when providing the best business-class lounges. These aviation giants include Oman Air, Cathay Pacific Airways, EVA Air, Qatar Airways, Asiana Airlines, Kenya Airways, Gulf Air, and Turkish Airlines. A perfect score of 4/5 was unanimously awarded to these airlines, underscoring the impeccable standards they’ve maintained.
But where there are winners, there are standout achievers. Asiana Airlines outdid itself with a 5/5 score for its ultra-fast Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, Kenya Airways turned heads with its pristine washroom and shower facilities, achieving 5/5. Beyond the scores, Asiana’s lounges beckon business travellers with full-body massage chairs. At the same time, Kenya Airways woos guests with African landscape-themed lounges, setting a new bar for luxury travel experiences.
For those more interested in the journey than the waiting, Tipalti also measured in-flight services of business class sections. Five airlines took the crown, all averaging a flawless 4/5. The champions of the skies are EVA Air, Vistara, Qatar Airways, Japan Airlines, and Singapore Airlines. Qatar Airways, for instance, indulges passengers with a classic afternoon tea featuring traditional treats. Meanwhile, Vistara’s business-class travellers are greeted with a welcome drink and then treated to a gastronomic journey featuring Indian and global delicacies.
Oman Air, already topping lounge charts, also wins accolades for having the most luxurious business-class seats. The airline’s impressive service record continues as it has been crowned the top business-class airline based on a comprehensive evaluation. Operating out of Muscat International Airport, Oman Air connects passengers to over 50 pivotal destinations, making it a linchpin in global business travel.
For those who appreciate gourmet in-flight experiences, Japan Airlines’ collaborations with renowned chefs like Mishina Jun and Namae Shinobu offer haute cuisine at 35,000 feet.
